Component is analog and hdmi is digital that's the only reason it look's better. And audio is downscaled when it's through hdmi unless you have the new hdmi cord's.

Haha you seem angry and honestly for some reason on my xbox 360 I can play 1080p on component and there is 6 prongs (that I don't even see) and I also see no difference between component and hdmi other than a little less complication I have tried hdmi on my xbox and saw so difference so it goes to better use on my cable.

The bass makes a terrible buzzing noise, even when turned down to "2". I've never experienced that when watching blu ray with my DMP BD65 via HDMI. The sound is much clearer and crisper, so you can listen to it with high clarity even at low volume.

Component is better because it divides the blue, red, and luminance onto 3 cables, giving you better lighting, shading, and contrast between light and dark areas.

@MyVideosOnYT1 it looks small on video. it is a sanyo 26 inch hdtv. and av is just 3 wires red yellow white. component is red white green and blue. av has colors on one end and one connector piece on the bottom. component has the colors on both end. its to much. hdmi is easier and looks much nicer
Graphics in 120 hz 1080p hdmi vs componet are the same the only difference is 1 cable does it all but they look the same in 360 or Ps3. I have done the test and 20 times and there is no difference on that your eyes can see
Component is the same Quality as HDMI. HDMI is only "better" because it is one cable,Sound in as said one cable and it dosent matter what HDMI cable you use they all work the same because it is a digital Signal.

@TheGasbaggersVP I have news for you bud, Component is actually better than HDMI because the three colours R=red,G=green, B=blue which make up the entire colour spectrum, are split into three separate signal cable connections with component which retains a more pure richer colour and deeper blacks because there is no signal loss, in HDMI unfortunately all three colours of R,G,B, are intertwined with audio in one single cable which makes it impossible to retain the same quality colour signal,FACT
@mikachuuu Component isn't bad but HDMI IS better. You cannot play true 1080p through component. Even if you tv says 1080p it's only being upconverted by your player and isn't true 1080p. If you're not seeing the difference it's because you don't have good enough tv to display it properly. If you're trying to watch a side by side comparison on google (lol) you're definitely not goin gto see anything.
