I would suggest you do not force your religion on others, and instead allow people to have their own opinions. After all do we not live in a world with free speech? @london5315 The Christian concept of hope is slightly different from the standard where it would mean to be unsure of the outcome but hope for the best. According to Hebrews 11 faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see. Hope is an expectation of an outcome already assured by what Jesus has done. You're right that many atheists are fulfilled (I was 1 of them) but all I can speak of is my own experience and that is that God's love has changed everything

I've never read the Bible - obviously - so it's slightly confusing, but the general gist i'm getting from what you're saying is that Christians have hope because they are sure to go to heaven - only if they're good mind. Although to say that non religious people hope for the best (The best of what?) would be untrue. They would live their lives to the fullest (hopefull) as that's their only chance.

@london5315 What I was aiming at is that hope is generally seen as hope in a potential outcome, Christian hope is hope in a certain outcome- does that make more sense? Christians don't believe they go to heaven cause they're good enough. In fact the core of Christianity is the acknowledgement that none of us are good enough to go to heaven because we've sinned, therefore we needed someone sinless to trade us his perfection for our sin- that's what Jesus on the cross is all about

@shinystuffisnice Also, if you've never read the bible I'd highly recommend at least giving it a shot. Reading through one of the gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke or John) basically sums up Jesus' life and is the easiest way to get an accurate picture of what Christianity's all about rather than relying on often flawed public perception. If you don't agree with what it says fair enough but at least that way you know exactly what it is you don't agree with
