I love the Smashing Pumpkins, at least their 1st 2 albums, but I don't understand a word they say and I don't give an eff either b/c the music is great and unique. It's funny b/c most of Malkmus' lyrics seem to be, if not nonsense, then free associaton without much meaning. So even though I understand what he's saying, it mostly has no meaning, and I don't care either because the music is incredible.

I love it how because of a line in the song, fans of Pavement and Pumpkins feel the need to feud. Who cares what they think of each other. I like them both, but the Pumpkins much more. And yet this is still one of my favorite songs. Thumbs this down all you like, it's as relevant to me as this silly feud itself.
