I do not understand how to beat his on v. hard. History says that Philip tried to prolong the battle until Alexander broke through the Theban band, yet after a minute maybe 2 I'm through and Philip is routing. I don't get it.

@pppeeeppplll nah it doesnt have the romans in this, its based on alexanders campaign. it has a rather restricted campaign with only faction to play with, Macedon. The campaign is also very tightly turn based and you have to capture 10 cities spread along persia in 100 turns. although i heard somewhere that if you change the expansions files you can play other factions such as persia etc

You have only Macedonia, Persia, one balkan tribe and rebels in this expansion pack.

oh this battle really pissed me off while playing it, Philip is an ass hole, after broke their right flank, flanked many of the sacred band & even killed their general , philip runs like a rabbit. By the time i will be doing some serious damage he runs away. However i need to win it to unlock others.

How did you unlock all the battles? I can defeat all the sacred band units on hard but by that time the rest of the macedonian army is destroyed. Please show me how you did it on hard?

It's no need to fight in Hard or Very-Hard.

The main point is the tree Sacred band just in front of young Alexander. Just like what I am trying to do in this vid.

Don't try to defeat the other Greek phalanx at the begining or you must lose.

It's Normal only. Your mission is first to defeat 3 Sacred Band. Then, you can defeat the other units till you gonna win.

I have the same problem as sanguinius01...I have beaten the First Historic Battle, and NOT gotten Alexander killed, and I haven't unlocked the next 1 yet! Help!
