Why spraypaint the bottom if you glue it with bark in the end? Accidently painted it and found out that it was unneccisary, or does it actually has a purpose?

When I make caches like these I never use glue. It doesnt last. Always use epoxy or my favorite is jb weld. it bonds almost anything!

Very nice, home made cache. if you hide it inside a fallen tree log you'll definitely have a very evil geocache :P

hot glue won't stay stuck if it gets cold. it will break off easily. hot glue is only a type of plastic, it's not really glue

It's a game people play, sort of a treasure hunting hobby. Practicing in over 100 countries.
People will hide hatches, and Geocaches will hunt them with a GPS. Then replacing the items in the caches with something of same or higher value.
