i'm only 13 so the woody woodpecker i remember was the new one, when he had nephews, knothead and splinter. and he was neighbours with wally walrous and ms meany and his arch enemy was buzz buzzard

It was seeing Quagmire from Family Guy pull off a Woody Woodpecker stunt - Pecking in "Giggity Giggity Goo" in the title, that got me into watching Woody Woodpecker cartoons again!

The Woody Woodpecker laugh at the beginning of the episode was also on the Woody Woodpecker
1988 show's intro, and the other episodes of the 1957 show.

This was made in 1968,probably the last theatrical cartoon short released by Walter Lantz Productions and Universal Pictures starring Woody Woodpecker. Not the best of them but pretty good with a groovy jazz score by Walter Greene.
