Whenever I hear someone use the name Charles Darwin, but not make any attempt to explain the difference between evolutionary theory & "social Darwinism," I immediately become suspicious. To leave out something like THAT makes me wonder what other information they're withholding or ignoring.
Maybe now you can explain to me how I'm NOT awake, what it is exactly that I'm missing while NOT awake, and which of "my theories" it is that are "ridiculous?"
Making indignant sounding, condescending statements, without any substance is what's ridiculous. Care to add to that, or are you happy looking like a clueless troll?
Please stop spreading anti-science BS. Without science you fools would be living in caves sacrificing goats to your God. And near 6 billion of you wouldn't even be alive to do that.
@hlyleh Dude, I totally feel you, but it's hard enough convincing people that they might be wrong, & that people they trusted may have been, if not blatantly lying to them, at LEAST speaking with unwarranted certainty about things they couldn't possibly know. See what I mean? I hate goat sacrifices too, but sometimes we make people even LESS LIKELY to listen(if that's even POSSIBLE).
@hlyleh Funny how your argument assumes people are atheists. Also, notice how rather than debate his points, you tried to characterize people negatively. Typical liberal.
@drkstrong You don't know what a ecosystem is? The ecosystem since human came are not the same as the global rainforest's the dinosaurs lived in. Even something so small as a city may have it's own ecosystem, totally dependent on humans.
Wow! thank you Mr. Trapley for this educational book review. I GIVE IT A THUMB UP.

@TimothyADonaghue Liberal? Where the hell does politics come into this? People on both sides of the aisle spread anti-science bullshit.
I'm also not sure where my argument assumes people are atheists. I specifically mention ("Your" God), meaning modern day peoples God/gods.
I also typically only argue someones points when they actually have some to make. It's kind of hard to argue against someone that just makes shit up.

"The ecosystem could not survive without human intervention. That is easy to prove"
Really? The Earth has been around for (say) 4 billion years. Most of that time with some form of life around.
Humans for about 200,000 years.
So what did the ecosystem do for the other 3,999,800,000 years to sustain its self?
drkstrong 9 months ago
@drkstrong Unless humans are around in about 2 billion years, all life on Earth will perish.
hlyleh 8 months ago
@hlyleh You might make that 2000 years!
drkstrong 8 months ago
@drkstrong Or indefinitely. At least with Humans life still has a shot.

@clarkcolt45 But that was not changed by humans. He is not talking about mini ecosystems in cities
