Mariah relies on heavy backup singer use and certain parts of her vocals are always prerecorded. The whole song isn't lipsynched, just the vocally demanding parts. You can tell by how all of a sudden she's perfect towards the end of the song, yet there were flaws in the other parts of the song. Listen to 3:15 to 3:39. That's SO not live.
