  • ha?

  • El niño es el primer emo en la historia del cine

  • Loved this movie when I first saw it at 8 yrs old. I am 42 now and still love it. I think Delores Taylor and Tom Laughlin are still married but I would love to know what happened to all the other characters. I lol at the 'carwash' scene!!

  • I just wanna know one thing... why was there flour readily available in an ice cream shop?

  • What do you mean?? Every ice cream shop I go to has a big bucket of flour just sitting there with a scope. lol

  • Well where did Jean get the money to run the 'Freedom School' I imagine a place like that would cost every bit of 10k per month to keep open. Did her daddy leave her the money?

  • From the welfare money that she was getting! It seems like Billy Jack was really standing up for people who wanted a free ride and didn't want to work. Did anyone there have a job?????

  • Thanks also for posting have not seen this movie in along time, first kat I seen kicking other white kats ass before chuck norris. LOL

  • A Classic scene from Billy Jack 1971! Thanks for posting!

  • Billy Jack is Hitler and Hitler is Billy Jack.Watch the whole movie, open your mind, read a book or two, and I dare you to tell me that I'm wrong.

  • Read like...Harry Potter? I just read the back of a cereal box and I feel succifiently open-minded enough to agree to disagree...make sense? Read some books, it will help!

  • You are wrong

  • That Bernard is the best. Too bad for him the town was invaded by modern liberals and that filthy half breed with a chip on his shoulder.

  • The counter guy wouldn't serve the Indians because they didn't have a reservation.

  • That should be c o n t r i v e d!

  • Nobody's defending Bernard or Dinosaur, they're supposed to be the bad guys (although like everybody else in this movie, their acting sucks). This has got to be the most contived plot in movie history.

  • 3:05 Big Dinosaur- Tough Guy- punching little kid in the gut! ----- Bernard pestering the lady at the mailbox and she says up yours, LMAO----- Billy Jack was needed to keep the peace. The kids in the freedom school were trying to turn their lives around and do the right things for the right reasons. I am sure the good hearted people of the community yhelped Billy keep up payments on that jeep. Now where did Bernard get his spending money from and what good things does Bernard produce??!

  • Billy Jack had the "feeling" that something might go down at the ice cream parlor. He noticed young Possner and the"Dinosaur" hanging around, looking for mischief, instead of looking for honest ways to bring peace, tolerance, and productivity to the world! Of course, Billy gets his jeep donated to him by all the people who are grateful of the hard work he does protecting the land. I am more concerned with why young Possner goes in the ice cream shop to harass Miss "Up Yours"?!

  • Where did Billy Jack get the money to buy that jeep?, he was too lazy to work- and why did he pull up in front of the ice cream store? Did he need a rocky road before he went out to kick the ass of people who actually produce things?

  • It's just a movie. But to stretch the imagination a bit, he was a Viet Nam War Hero, he policed the Reservation, I'm sure he had money.

  • billy jack was a great movie that portrayed a young man back form Vietnam.you need to watch the movie born loser, to understand what was going on during that era!

  • I have a temper like Billy to, I came home from working all day and went to get an icecream sandwich from the freezer and my wife had ate them all, so I rubbed my forehead and then I just went beserk and did her like Billy did those guys and the next day there was a freezer full of icecream sandwiches and she was in alot of pain.

  • It was a GREAT moment. I'm so glad I saw this in 1973 with a group of kids who were VERY counterculture and so much like the kids in the school in the film

  • up us this movie is bull shit

  • I want some ice cream PLEEEEEEEESE

  • The parody on Saturday Night Live, "Billy Paul", with Paul Simon, was hilarious.

  • They should've went to Dairy Queen.

  • mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

Ice Cream.! dairy QUEEN is awesome. BUt gosh I luv the way Billy kicks butt.

  • 3:16 slap by the cool indian girl is sweet

  • I think the movie was trying to make the point, that there is still Racists umong us! "Which there still is"!

Darwin's B-Day this month: Whitey; Bro, Chicano, need I go on? We're all the same Blood ( DNA )! Tropical Temp.'s created the different Pigments! Not sure about those Gingers though.... They're Creepy! Ha ha

  • I liked the movie when it came out and I still do. I REALLY HATE bully's (no matter who's on the receiving end, but especially when kids are involved) and I can't help but applaud someone who kicks their ass. I just love it =)

  • Why the fuck is there a big tub of flour on the counter of an ice cream parlor?

  • i thought it was powder sugar lol

  • amen

  • im indian and i take this part the wrong way because my ancestors and me are all disliked by the whites

  • Who cares!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • i'm white and i don't dislike you :)

  • why is everyone going into depth regarding the fucking political and socio-cultural tensions. it's a fucking laugh riot. I mean, billy motherfucking jack slaps a guy in the face, propelling a stunt dummy out the window in a torpedo-like motion. Fuck politics, this is plain old entertainment. not to mention he karate chops some guy in the sternum while screaming out in a fit of what appears to be tourettes. If you can't just sit back and laugh at this, I think you have a rod lodged in your anus.

  • I knew something was bothering me! Help me get it out, will ya?

  • I thought this was a comedy movie for decades and thoroughly enjoyed. Now that I've found out it's a drama I laugh even harder. Thanks Billy Jack!

  • Let me get this straight. Billy Jack is an Indian hero because he beats up the mean old white racists. (I'm using the movie's term "Indian" here, in real life they are Native Americans in the U.S., in Canada they are Aborigines.) But wait a second here. The actors playing Indians are mostly a bunch of white people. Isn't that racist? If not, would it be okay to have a movie where Arnold Schwarzenegger plays Martin Luther King? Doesn't that make Billy Jack a racist movie about how racism is bad?

  • I suppose Zorro is a racist movie too since a Spanish actor plays a fictional Mexican hero.

  • Zorro is racist.

  • No need to be overly P.C. here! While it's severely corny that they aren't Native American actors, that only contributes to the entertainment aspect, not the racist aspect. They portray Indians in a very good light, so how is that racist? Also, I think you are on to something with this Schwarzenegger idea...guaranteed billions at the box office! It would be the stupidest movie ever made! Hilarious? Just think about it for a second. Racist? that depends on the portrayal of MLK by Arnie...

  • I remember going to the movies to see this liberal piece of shit

  • dude, this movie is soooo beast. its even better with a little "ahem".... illegal substances...

  • UP Yours !! Quess she told him !!! Cool !! Loved this movie !! A Cult Classic for sure!

  • Always going to be racist no matter where you go, no matter what color you are, it's life, always has been. always will be.

  • GO GET MY DAD..... RACIST COWARD !

  • Good greif, no need to get angry over a movie. The point of this scene is to show this guy is cruel, you dont need to spell it out.

  • Umm I believe EVERYONE has the right to express there opinions, that's the point.

  • Sure, but this exercise of making fake characters to blast and get angry at seems to me artifical and likely to cause hate against against people in real life of the same group. Example- black maids in old movies where idiotic and silly, people mocked blacks because of this, even if they where in real life intelligent. I dont know, it just doesnt seem healthy.

  • I agree with what you said about the black maids, that's a good point, but unfourtunately, people like the ones in Billy Jack really exist, SAD but true. It's called reality.

  • True, but I think it can work out that a person is thought of in a certian way because of a screen character or something of the like. Example- a native American or Hawaiian goes to a whites guy and says "All you guys think your so speacial, that your superhuman, an dats why you stole our land you f---." He gets this idea from true historical view, but he thinks all whites are like this. I would say this is not an uncommon view at all, caused by old stories.

  • Racist got his ass kick by Billy Jack.

  • Very true...lol

  • One of the most beautiful scenes in American film. Laughlin much hated because the one great law of movie violence is that it may not expose the stinking, rotten violence of everyday life: it has to come from the Other or outer space but cannot, as here, be embedded in the normal relations of society.

Obama's election gave the victims of normalized violence hope: but in response the Johnny Rebs are getting seriously organized for another shot at Confederate treason. They shall be beat again.

  • You scumbag, You and the obama commies will see what southern power is. Civil war coming tough guy!You are right on one thing...we are getting ready. The Constitution will be saved!

  • I'll see you in hell, Johnny Reb. The members of the modern US army, navy, air force and marines have taken an oath to the Constitution quite unlike the oaths made by Robert E. Lee and Stonewall Jackson, which were made to their states.

If you think these men will go back on that oath, you're crazy.

Who's going to fight your treasonous war this time? Fat-assed middle aged re-enactors versus the 82nd Airborne?

  • lovely. a racist idiot.

  • Check it, I am not Native American at ALL... but I ma of Irish decent, and trust me it's NOT about skin color but rather the superiority complex of those with more cash flow. I watched this film as a child and still love it today.... but this was never truly about color of ones skin but ones power over another an dthe IDIOTS that follow,

  • I'm no flaming liberal, but come on people. The Indians have been treated like shit for hundreds of years. Let's just admit it.

  • Were Amercan-Indians really treated that way in 1971 --- in the North? I grew up in the 70's in the northern U.S. and was was never aware of Jim Crow practices levied against these people. I remember my grandfather trying to help an Indian in Minnesota cope with his alcoholism but he (Indian) passed away in the cold. My grandfather was a die hard Republican too.

  • The American Indians are among the poorest people in the country. There were pitched battles between native Americans and US forces at Alcatraz in 1971 and Wounded Knee in 1973, and nothing whatever was done to redress the grievances that caused the American Indian Movement to occupy the former Federal prison or the town of Wounded Knee SD.

Whereas in Australia laws were passed and changed to better the status of Aborigines, and in Fiji the British arranged for native Fijians to hold land.

  • Nothing whatever has been done to redress or amerliorate the basic problem: that the "freedom" of whites to own property is also their "freedom" to buy land at low low prices from Indians whom they have deceived.

Whereas in Fiji, non-natives are not to this day permitted to own land.

This has had bad effects, such as the oppression of Indians (from India).

But it shows that the "character defects" of Native Americans are not a factor in their oppression. The basic game is rigged.

  • The dialogue makes it clear that the discrimination isn't "Jim Crow": the girl says that the Indians just know when they're not wanted.

"Jim Crow" refers to laws passed in violation of the 14th Amendment by the defeated Johnny Rebs down south. The town doesn't have these laws, but Indians don't get served in the Anglo shops.

  • I'm from Minnesota too, dwendt66, you know GOD DAMN WELL that the Ojibwa were treated exactly like that, and even with the casino money still are.

  • Wouldnt dout it, though after seeing the history of native Americans and europeans its obvious both have lots to hold against eachother. The trick is the realise that every groups has been hurt and has dominated, and that the trick is to look at the now- if things are good as they are, forget the past, because anyone can bring up an offence if they wish.

  • I remember seeing this in the theater in 1971, and the social relevance I got from it was that Miss Up Yours was hot.

  • Was? I have a feeling that she probably still is!

  • I'm sure you're correct!

Also, it's important to preserve clips like this, so that future generations will know that one time in America, you could get fried chicken for 65 cents.

  • I am 75% Native American, along with blacks since the settlers came to 1980 they were being treated like crap.. and Billy Jack is suppose to make us feel like we should feel non-ashamed of our heridge.

  • I did not see it, but i remember being able to view a boom microphone being swung over this scene for about five seconds.]\when i first saw this movie so MANY years ago. talk about your shoestring budget!

  • Listen to the DVD commentary. They say that alledgedly the guy who plays Bernard Posner sued tom laughlin over money.

  • WOw, im not a Billy Jack fan, but what he said at the end, "Alot of stupid people in this world" (I think thats what he said) and I couldnt agree more.

  • racism isn't a whites only disease. Billy Jack movies are hilarious and cool. I didn't realize wearing a headband made you an indian *ties a belt around her head and sticks some feathers in it* "give me some ice cream, whitey!

  • I think somewhere else in the movie it identifies her as part Cherokee.

  • The Billy Jack movies are now old, outdated pretty bad compared to the quality of today's movies. I don't know too many stores in the U.S. who would reject someone's money because of the color of their skin. Money is color blind and a sale is a sale. Of course it makes for a great Hollywood movie even though scenes like this ice cream shoot looks so contrived, silly, and farfetched now.

  • obviously you've never been to the south there's still discrimination going on

  • wow,you must be like 14 or something..you know nothing about the times, what this was about or how it IS relevent...!!!

  • lol! its awesome!! i luv it ^^

  • Being Native American myself, I liked this movie, except for the fake wit the white people playing as Indians this would have been better if there was legit Natives in it.

  • This movie was important to me when I was young because I had American Indian friends and relatives. I have seen injustice, so I enjoyed seeing the cowards in the ice cream parlor being taught a lesson.

As far as the other message in the movie about mustangs being slaughtered for dog food, I have always disliked it. I come from a ranching family and we did not believe that profit should rule over pride. We also respected the land and the animals, unlike some stockman.

  • As far as politics goes, I find it humorous. I work to fight paedophilia around the globe and have had some interesting comments from the far left and the far right. Lately, I have been bombarded by neo nazis and socialists both supporting paedophilia. Those who claim to be on one side or the other mean nothing to me, but their actions do.

I have always supported this movie and its message. I am not a liberal or a democrat, but I loathe racist actions and predatory behavior.

  • Wow liberaldemocrat ( can we saaay redundant?) how's that tolerance for opposing view points workin' out for ya?

  • brucestringbean is a racist and therefore, must be silenced.

  • I'm feelin' the love now!!!!

  • I forgive you. Peace

  • Well, you know Iron Eyes Cody (the actor who played the Crying Indian in the "Help Keep America Beautiful" PSAs), was actually Italian.

  • This movie changed my life when I was little.

My eyesockets are welled up with tears just remembering that moment.

  • White Fuckers!!!!! what the fuck do u colourless assholes know about NAtives? I bet u ppl were scared shitless to even be in a rez instead u fuckers talk about it...I have one word 4 this idiot who made this piece of shit and along with his/her(can

't tell if this thing is a girl) bitches....."PIGS"

  • O by the way oyu idiot. Johnny Cash and shania twain and Elvis presley and the list goes on about haveing native in them. So practice what you preach.Learn what their race is from before bashing a native, dumbass.

  • Remeber you white trash shit. Natives did not have any type of liqour unti the white man came over. That is geeting old about natives with beer. White people have drinking problems too.So shut the fuck up about natives.Try something else to come back on me and I will have somthing better.

  • Tell that to Billy Jack and see if you're still standing!

  • Damn... What?

  • You win some, you lose some. Would you say the hippies' attitude on drug use is still valid? As for hand to hand, I too am a black belt, partially because I'm a fan of this movie.

  • I watched this movie when I was 8 years old and I thought it was cool. I watch it now and see how stupid and stereotypically this idiotic film really is. It's dated and ridiculous. I didn't even want to watch this whole scene on YouTube.

  • It's dated? I guess so, it's 37 yrs old. Probably didnt learn anything from it when you were 8, is the reason you post stupid comments in 2008.

  • Why do they have flour at the ice cream shoppe?

  • I ask you this....Who in the States isn't a racist? You stick to your groups and fear everyone else. And you should cause everyone has a gun. Don't think so? Then why don't you go hang out in the hood sometime? Here in Canada I can go almost anywhere...anytime. God bless the USA....You need it. LOL.

  • You criticize the US for being racist while pigeonholing an entire nation... Irony...

Racism is the preference for or prejudice against any particular race. I personally have no problem with anyone of any race. Therefore, I am not racist.

Normally, I don't make meaningful posts on YouTube, as it's a waste of time, but that was a odd comment... I must say...

BTW, Canada is 85% white... The U.S. is only 72%... We have more of an issue because we are more diverse...

  • 'You're passionate'! 'Well I like you too'. 'No No....The Liquor Store...You're passion it'!!

  • Up your's you ugly white trash!!! We were here before you and we will be here until the end of time.

  • fuck you!!!!!

  • why do u have to be so racist 4

  • Check out 01:37...

    Tuna sandwich for 60 cents???

    Egg salad sandwich.............30 cents???

INFLATION = Slow, gradual, assured theft

  • Verner sure did turn all of those Indians white, lol. That green beret is tough, he beat the crap out of that big idiot and threw him out the window, hahahahahahahaha.

  • Ah, even as a preschooler, I had a massive crush on "Up Yours".

As for the american indian, the white man went through the same thing 1,000 years earlier. He learned to upgrade technology, and discard obsolete weapons. Even the british longbow was superior to anything the indian had.

History has proven that the hippies' peace movement of Billy Jack's time was a failure. Most of those kids ended up becoming their parents by the late 1980's. The ones who didn't were anachronisms.

  • hahaha "Up Yours" is a fuckin babe.

  • YOU are the pussy. Fucking little bitch.

  • ...sorry, his real name is run and jerk!ha ha ha ha ha...

  • McLaughlin had served in nam as GREEN BERET. of course runnerk is a white trash nixon guerilla bush ass shit kisser who probably helped massacre the INNOCENTS at the SIEGE OF WOUNDED KNEE. MANKILLER, MEANS, and TRUDELL FOREVER! the TIME is NOW for a NATIVE AMERICAN INDIAN NATIONAL HOLIDAY!

  • No shit. Native Americans are the most persecuted people in history. All the other cultures have a holiday, the jews the blacks, yet the true people of this nation are not recognized. Fuck white people.

  • Hey , im a white person .

  • Sorry. Not all white people are bad.

  • Fuck you ass hole.

  • The Time is NOW for a NATIVE AMERICAN INDIAN NATIONAL HOLIDAY!!!! "columbus" was not American! ...and i have yet to see any NATIVE AMERICAN INDIANS on the white biker "Trail Of Tears" bike ride whose ancestors probably served under the great betrayer andrew jackson and his tennessee volunteers who betrayed the CHEROKEE! since the U.S. cannot observe treaties and take what it wants with diseased blankets for LAND,then perhaps it can apologize and right wrongs and at least provide a HOLIDAY!

  • bernard now works for fauxnews

  • I know he was a complete asshole but DAMN Benard was hot!!

  • A great movie scene. Sometimes getting physical has its place! As a minister I recently had to knock the wind out of one who made the mistake of attacking me. Amen!

  • Great Movie, Billy Jack f**king destroys that dude in the red flannel shirt, i love the part of the scene where he goes BESEEERRRRRRKKK! 6:09-6:13

  • One of the best. Ever.

  • This film clearly has an agenda!

  • haha nice

  • Bernard reminds me of a young george bush.

  • Haaa Haaa!

  • i love this scene and billy jacks attack on the racists

  • I... just... go... ber-SERK!!!

  • Is the bad guy here a younger, skinnier "OGER" (the muscle bound bully) from "REVENGE OF THE NERDS"? He sure resembles him in appearance and demeanor.

  • "Up Yours"? OMG BURN!!!

  • injuns rooting for the white man still? your "still" rooting for billy crack and he's beating the shit out of the pale face's!

  • great sceen

  • used to think these movies were awesome! billy jack and bruce lee movies were our all time favorites. haha, injuns rooting for the white man still! haha. good clip thanks for the vid.

  • haha, the Legend of Billy Jack.

  • never make no movie like dis today wif bush cheney racist in charge! dis move good

  • Hapkido, the Korean Martial Arts! Did u see Billy Jack block that big goons punches? awesome!

  • UP YOURS LOL

  • YESSS! I was waiting for that guy to beat the crap out of that jerk.

  • Where was Billy Jack when i was in School?

  • The ice cream shop scene is the only one I remember from the movie. If the clip was longer, doesn't show the ice cream shop collapsing?

Wait, isn't there one where the same goof is trying to get some girl to take off her top in his Corvette?

  • I am never going for ice cream ever again... Unless I'm with Billy Jack of course.

    *wears a head band*

  • Billy Jack is the man.

  • YOU ROCK BILLY JACK!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • This is exactly why I do not eat ice cream anymore...it only leads to violence.

  • lol!

  • Bush is like the Bernard Posner character, arrogant, stupid, and retarded.

  • the girl with the headband iz fckng hot!

  • Am I the only one who thinks "Up yours" is hot?

  • no your not

  • is that her indian name?..lol

  • I JUST GO BERSERK!!

  • I made an error, Chakotay is on "Voyager", I don't know why I said "DS9"?! The actor is about the right age for Robert Beltran.

  • That which does not kill us makes us stronger

  • not!

  • Racism stems from fear of other races,Racist's feel inferior or lower than the people they hate.I don't mind being feared "that which does not kill us makes stronger"

  • I CALL THEM AS I SEE THEM BABY

  • Chakotay? You've got to be kidding. He whips ass on Borg, Romulans and even a holodeck Klingon, but he goes down from a little punch to the stomach from some corn-fed farm boy? And those clothes - mustard color shirt, grey pants, brown belt, black shoes and white socks almost look old-school trek.

  • Robert Beltran who plays Commander Chakotay on Star Trek Deep Space Nine. I think it is him! The voice even matches!

  • Ive always thought that he was Chakotay but I didnt see Roberts name on the credits

  • Is that Indian guy in the yellow shirt "Chakotay"?

  • That name sounds familiar. Who's chakotay?

  • zeitgeistmovie dot com

  • Yes, even though this scene was filmed in late 1969 it wasn't released until 1971. Isn't Prescott Arizona pretty? It still pretty much looks the same now.

  • Guy kinda looks like a young Richard Gere

  • Such a sad scene, but a good movie. I have Billy Jack on DVD.

  • How about posting the entire beating in the park?

  • Shall do! Thanks for the request.

  • I love this movie, Billy Jack is the bomb!!!!! GO PACIFISTS!!!!! Thats what we need in this world more people who want peace

  • Wonderful thought, but totally impractical in today's world. If you lay down your arms and your enemy doesn't, you're dead.

  • true in some sort of way, it's being the better person, you don't want to become what you hate.

  • MISS UP YOURS IS HOT!!!!!

  • I love this movie so much, it is so powerful!

  • the reason most white's are racist except for white trash bitches is because white men are on the bottom of the government's handout list.

  • Sounds like you know most of the white folk in the US of A...

or, are you "a stereotyping racist" too?
