Once they convert to full HD, they'll be one of the first small market stations to do so. WJHG has always lead the way, with WMBB lagging behind in many ways. Did WJHG get rid of the helicopter, because the used to have one when they were Spirit of the Panhandle in the late 90s and early 00s.
Nice to see someone else other than WVIR in HD... I think there are a couple others out there, too. They are one of the firsts, but I think JHG may only be the 7th or 8th small market station to be in HD.
must be sad for you that 7 has lagged behind 13 in ratings for a couple of years now. They rented that helicopter and put their decals on it, but never owned the thing. 13 just didn't waste money on decals for a copter that was parked behind a bar on the beach anyway.
I honestly don't care who leads in the rankings down there because I do not live in the Panama City market, I live in the Nashville market, which is very competitive between WTVF and WSMV.

You are the one who made statements about the other station, to which you are ignorant of. Ratings books are purchased by the stations, and are private information, which they hold. I have talked to people who do know from both stations who know. I am not the one who is worked up here, sadly it is in fact you who started this whole thing about WMBB lagging behind WJHG crap. I was simply pointing out that you are wrong.
Alright, well if I am wrong so be it. That said, WJHG does have better graphics than WMBB. Plus, they racked up a lot of awards in the most recent round.
Well that is your opinion about their graphics package. WMBB has won its own share of awards the last few year, so that's a stretch. I happen to know that WMBB broadcasts in true stereo, and they were digital well before WJHG who had to file extensions a few years ago because they couldn't meet the federal deadlines. In other words, you got on here, and started making comparisons, and you had no idea what you were talking about. Do more research next time, and have a good life!
@wantsvictory I happen to know WJHG's broadcasts are in "True Stereo." Watch the meters sometime. Also, is WMBB in widescreen? Their graphics were clearly made in house, they literally cannot drop their Chyron because they only have 1 down-stream-keyer. All their promos use jump backs from MGN, in combination with annoying moving text that looks like it was maybe made in Adobe Premiere. They copied the idea of "HD Wings" from WJHG, Also, 'MBB's master controllers run audio for their shows.
Yet, once again WMBB trashed WJHG in the ratings. One ratings increase can be viewed as a fluke, but multiple books have shown that people are no longer watching WJHG as they once did. The people have simply lost their faith in hacks!
@wantsvictory They didn't trash WJHG. WJHG won the ratings book (except 5-6am), but WMBB won a few key demographics. If they want to claim that as "winning", it looks more like a slight edge for WJHG (though, admittedly, they're slipping). This video was about the "image" of WJHG - which is far, far ahead of WMBB in a production aspect.
And yet WMBB owns them in the ratings. ha ha ha
