Some of Vargas' fights are very impressive. I wasn't ever a Vargas fan at the time, and I honestly never really thought the guy was anything special. But in certain fights, like this one, the Quartey fight, and the Wright fight, he looked perfect. He did alot of things very well. Looks complete.

@FSMNoodlyAppendage I agree. Some boxers tend to act different in front of big crowds even though they've fought elite fighters before. Like when Vargas fought Trinidad. Vargas instead of boxing...he would trade left hooks and would get the worst of it just wanting to prove he was 'macho' to the wild crowd. Right here & on the other fights you mentioned Vargas would stick to his own game.

@FSMNoodlyAppendage Although I thought Winky beat Vargas, Vargas a major talent, he fought all those guys you mentioned before his 23rd birthday. He was thrown in the fire way too quick, and it ruined him as a fighter. Vargas was a special fighter and one of my favorites.

Both were great boxer and these 2 have something in common. Tito beat em and after loosing against trinidad they never were the same. Correct me if am wrong. But like I said they both were good and agressive fighters.
