I may be able to see this during springbreak, but my dad is kinda sensitive to the curse words. I can probably get by with 2 or 3 f words but is it a lot more than that in regards to swearing? I sure hope not because Alan is my hero. Thanks.
i really hope this comes to London (England) in July because that's where i'm going on vacation... trouble is if it's on broadway first it's hardly likely to come to London
I have never really been to a Broadway show before, apart from Equus several years ago. Whereabouts do you wait for actors to come out to get your playbill signed? Particularly at the theatre where Seminar is playing...I'd like to go in January!
@seabury I don't know about other theaters, but after Seminar, just exit the theater through the main entrance and turn left. You'll see a barricade or a group of people, and then you can just wait at the barricade and the actors will come out and say hi, sign your playbill, and maybe pose for a photo. Alan Rickman didn't have time to pose for individual pictures, but we snapped a few good ones of him signing playbills. Basically, it's very easy to meet the actors! Alan was so nice ^.^
Whoo-hoo! I'm taking my sister, who adores Alan Rickman, as a birthday gift. She's had a really lousy two years (husband with cancer) and an autograph from Alan Rickman would give her such a boost! I truly hope it happens. Thank you for the encouragement.
@dianesize If you're going to a matinee show you may not be able to if there's another performance that evening. I don't know. If you're going at night, I see no reason why you shouldn't. AR usually comes out last btw. Keep your playbill handy and wait to the right of the theater. Enjoy the show.
Hi! Does anybody know if Seminar will go on dvd? I was planning to fly over to NY to see Alan Rickman but unfortunately that has been postponed. If anyone can get back to me it'd be greatly appreciated! :) I heard that only really popular Broadway plays go on dvd and that it takes awhile?
I got to see this today (Nov. 27). Loved it! Got to see AR and the rest of the cast afterwards and got their autographs. They were all very nice. They told us that Alan would not be posing for photos with people in the crowd but he did pose with some young kids which I thought was cool. He actually hung around for quite a while. As a matter of fact someone in his entourage eventually had to shout out "Alan...ALAN! Your wife is waiting for you...Sorry ladies!" Lol.
@imperfectme125 It's to the right of the theater. There are barricades up with a passage leading into the theater. You can't miss it. Other people will be standing out there anyway. Make sure you hand them your playbill ( AR is not going to sign any photos). Good luck and enjoy the show.
@sama31655 Well I know that, technically, he isn't married but when you've been with someone for over 40 years you are married to them in every other sense but a legal one. Besides, I didn't make the comment. As I have already said, someone in his entourage did.
God I wanna this so bad!!!!! Wish I lived closer to NYC or had money to go see it D:... Please put on DVD with orginal cast (before one of them quits) because I want to see the whole thing in the worst way!
@modelgirl2793 If you subscribe to Playbill or some other sites on the internet you can often find good deals on plays. Plus, there are hostels you can stay at that offer cheap rates. Save your nickels and dimes and come to N.Y. to visit and see the show. It's worth it. P.S.- I thought that it was amusing that Daniel Radcliffe is starring in How To Succeed In Business a block away from Seminar on the same street.
@MsAppassionata I know you can, but I still have the wonder benifit in life that are student loans, and singing lessons. But hopefully I can put the money asided or come into money (like win the lotter [haha as is]) and go... It is nice to dream :). And yea I saw him in Macy's, it looks very... interesting. Love how they are both on Broadway now thought :P
My gods. It's lucky I'm alone and indoors. I don't normally stare blatantly at something, but, fuckin' hell, Alan, that bulge in your pants is so bloody hard to ignore.
@chibizeru thank god it's not only me, I thought I'm gone finally crazy with all that fever Alan gives me everytime I see or hear anything of him. But those pants caught my attention too!
In fact I couldn't stop starring on them. I was trying to convince myself it's just my imagination or wishful thinking. So your comment saved my sanity, well at least what's left of it :D
@chibizeru LOL, I know, right!?! That man, and in person, OMG, I was in the first row and felt if anybody looked at me they would know right where I was staring! And then he glides around the stage like some wild tiger and, well, Gahhhhh!
Saw Seminar, Alan is amazing! The rest of the cast are great too! Alan has a sililoquy that is absolutely the most poignant thing I've ever heard...can't think of any other actor who can be so brutally intimidating one minute and in the blink of an eye be so heartwrenchingly poignant. Alan is a god!
Thankyou, Thankyou ,thankyou!! I'm not able to see the play in N.Y so it's great to see Alan in action.. Looks great and very funny, just hope that someone will post the whole play sometime :)
all the swear words: I am not used to hear that from Alan all the time...WTF...I don't give a shit... I don't give a f**k...Oh man! But even that sounds sexy out of his mouth!
