Edgar Meyer is an excellent all around bass player that seems to put a lot of soul into whatever style he is playing. He definitely has helped push the bass to where it is today.
I NEED SOME HELP FROM YOU DEAR FRIEND... Im Emmanuel from Argentina, and the album "WORK IN PROGRESS" came to my life in a cassette, very bad recording and open mi soul to all this emotions, this wonderfull music... and I never knew about this album, just the title "Edgar Mayer" writed. Here in Argentina its impossible find this album, and I cant find it too, so...
Just figured this out: this is the bass that Edgar has the top three strings in solo tuning. It actually is in C but is coming out in D. Makes this a bit harder.
@EdgarMeyerFan Sounds like the piece is in B, since it's all based from the "B" string (A in solo tuning). But he leaves the E string in orchestra tuning.

I agree! Even if it is for sale, it'd be great. I've transcribed part of it, but it really is a lot of work

I couldn't pick my jaw off the floor the first time I saw and heard Edgar Meyer live. It really seems impossible, what he does with a bass.

@EdgarMeyerFan Nice! That funky tuning he plays in can be a bit of a stumbling block. Are you just going to transpose it down a step to play it?
