its actually on a pole right next to the bottom of the guitar u can see it in the video

the mic is panned to one speaker to pick up the percussion. the signal straight from the guitar is panned to the other speaker. add a li'l reverb to the mix and it sounds pretty.

I got the CD, and I was not disappointed in any way. I've been listening to it continuously for the past couple weeks and it hasn't gotten old. It is some truly great music and I tip my hat to you all. You're all talented as hell. I can see how this didn't make the album cut, it really doesn't fit with the rest of the songs. It would have been cool as a hidden track or something though.
