  • I just wanna hug her! And you!!!! She's so cute. Not a fun situation but you've gotta do what ya gotta do. Trust me! And if posting sad info is what ya gotta do then hey...do it love! Hope she's/you're well today. By the way...totally heard the frog:P.

  • Hi Jlynn,

Two of my dogs are constantly having health issues (mainly related to aging), I totally understand you, but let me tell you something, you are such a great human being for taking care of you're dog and animals in general (I remeber the bird's nest thing), the world need more people like you.

Keep all the love, strength and patiencie and let God do the rest.

    Hugs.

  • how old is she?

  • @NWATS123 She's almost 10.

  • Yeah, the last few vlogs have been sad but like you say... it's real life! *hugs to you and Benatar* It's such a hard thing to go through. You both are in my prayers.

  • Pee pee! Hope not doo doo..

  • Definitely not an accident that I'm subed & I'm a huge fan of the walking, rambling, pee talk. :) Really hoping for a speedy recovery, it been clear forever how much u love her. Think its unusual shes sleeping there, doubt it's in protest, likely she wants you to know something's wrong and/or she doesn't wanna leave ur bedside. I Think prednisone is a hormone? So can have a vast range of effects & a lot r good. Human kind: I meant the blood issue :)...taking dad this morning to check his blood

  • It's good that her meds seem to work for her, as for the peeing problem you could try using litter on a tarp near her bed dogs do seem to resort to their house training fairly quickly,

As for you music channel well the tracks sit nicely amongst my playlists, and sound amazing!

  • Please update us as soon as you've been to the vet. I've been sending positive thoughts to Benatar (from Scotland) as soon as I first heard she was bleeding. I have a greyhound who is also my (big) baby, and a massive part of my life. I have always said that her health and happiness comes first, no matter how much it will break my heart if I have to make that kind of decision. Sending you love and luck for the appointment, xxx Claire

  • We believe that you can make it through this! Wverything has a solution... But you must venture forth to find it.

  • Well, it's sad because nobody wants anything bad to happen to Benatar. But, this is an important moment, and it would probably ring false NOT to talk about it.

  • @ThePhosphorous Thanks, friend. That's kinda the way I feel about all this. If I'm not going to be AUTHENTIC with all of it, I may as well leave the camera shut off...

    Thanks for your support!

  • you need kitty litter for dog or news paper

  • Happy that the meds seem to be working, but agree that if solving the problem only leads to the decline of her quality of life, then it's not worth it. At the end of the day, quality of life trumps all... so positive thoughts, and hope everything turns out okay.

And I'm certainly not an accidental subscriber. If anything, it was destiny! Yeah... that's it. Haha. :-)

    P.S. Are you limping?

  • @projectblogsphere Thanks. I like you. Seriously! We're friends for a reason!

    P.S. - No limp. That's SWAGGER!!!

  • glad to hear things are slightly better, hope things improve man!

  • Consider the alternative

  • i was going back and watching some of your older music stuff and you trying to get benatar to say goodbye reminded me from your livin on a prayer cover lol

  • try those pee pads you can get in the pet stores. we use them for my beagle, who is of course much smaller, but maybe if you use a few of them you wont have to get up every hour and a half

  • Stay strong!

  • I am a fan of you walking around your backyard talking about dog pee :0)

Hoping that Benatar feels better soon!

  • Glad to hear that the bleeding issue is better!

  • Yeah, whether it's physical pain or just generally being absolutely miserable in a mental sense, it's not worth it to decrease the value of the dog's (or any animal) life. Hopefully Benatar's platelet count is way up somewhere near the normal mark and the Prednisone just needs some time to work itself through her system. Does she need to be on it for the rest of her life if it works? Hoping for the best for you and your beautiful beast! <3

  • What glasses did you pick!!!?? I hope for the best! :)
