  • I usually just scoop some in my hand and use as an all over moisturizer. I also apply to my ends and leave in for a few hours before washing and it's been 2 months since my last haircut and have barely any split ends!! I love coconut oil.

  • My says use on wet hair 0_o

  • @FromLouisvilleNotKY I find it works better on dry hair because it can actually penetrate the hair.

  • you skin is glowing!! your so pretty. how much is coconut oil?

  • @nades11 It depends on where you buy it. Check out vitacost.com- I've seen great deals there!

  • So when using this as a body lotion, should I melt the coconut oil then apply to my skin or can I just work the coconut oil into my skin without melting ?

  • @cmanabat You can do either one. I like to melt it first and then apply, but you could grab a scoop of it and start working it into you skin, and it will melt quickly.

  • @TheSilverLining80 Thanks so much, I will defiantly try both methods.

  • What was the name of the face wash you use? I've been learning about Paraben's here lately and it seems like it's in EVERYTHING! Even in my new favorite face wash Philosophy made Simple =(

  • @jenn080203 I use The Body Shop Nutriganics Foaming Face Wash

  • You are so damm beautiful. The best promoface for coconut oil. :)

  • I thought EXTRA Virgin is way better ?

  • also, it is cheaper at an Indian grocery store! I really liked this video, it was very informative. I used to only use it as a hair conditioner but now use it for my lashes and they r SO much longer.

  • All of you who are wondering where you can find it, an Indian grocery store is the way to go. they have brand like parachute, vatika, etc. they may not say "organic" or "USDA approved" but Indian women have been using these brands for ages and are pure as pure can be. Hope this helps and Good Luck!

  • @BethanyItaly I don't think that's necessary. I use it a couple times a month.

  • Is it good to put in a warm bath?

  • @BethanyItaly Yes

  • How much do you put in your hair a teaspoon or more.my hair is thick and is shoulder leanth thanks for your help

  • @bryceaw I'd probably use about 1-2 tablespooons if your hair is thick

  • Did you notice any extra hair growth when you use it on your hair?

  • @alexianp No. Makes hair stronger and healthier, but doesn't make it grow faster.

  • hi there! thank you so much for the helpful tips and info. also using it as an overall body and face moisturizer. =)

  • @vivadiz You're welcome! Thanks for watching and commenting. :)

  • do u have to wash it out of your hair? or can u leave it?

  • Your face is sooo glowy and beautiful girl, I like the way you explain your point straight to point and the fact that you really seem to know what you are talking about Im hooked! Thanks for the great advice :D

  • just one question, when you melt the oil the pour it to the little glass thing, will it stay as oil or solid? because i just put some coconut oil onto my hair and there was some left on the bowl but it turned to solid?

  • @nhavan1 Coconut oil melts at 76 degrees F. So if it's colder than that, it will be a solid.

  • its wonderful for the body. I'll try it on my hair sometime

  • Awesome video. I have oily skin and I'm acne prone. Will using coconut oil as a moisturizer exacerbate the problem?

  • I really want to use this because it's natural and the benefits seem numerous. I want shiny, thick healthy hair full of vitamins!

  • mine says organic virgin coconut oil unrefined. but it says expeller pressed. What does that mean?

  • @EricaLeAnnUmberger Expeller pressed is just the way they extract the oil. You got the right one!

  • is it good for colored hair?

  • @SamirahLily Yes! It hydrates and conditions to help your color last longer!

  • I'm trying this for a moisturizer. I usually don't use oils on my face because they cause me to break out, but I have good feeling about this stuff. :))

  • Good job on your video I liked it very much!

  • Thank you so much for this video. it helped me a lot and tomorrow i will be going to buy the coconut oil and use it in my hair . thank you for explaining on other ways it can be use. and you are very pretty and glowing .

  • Thank you so much for this video. it helped me a lot and tomorrow i will be going to buy the coconut oil and use it in my hair . thank you for explaining on other ways it can be use. and you are very pretty and glowing .

  • Obviously working for you, super model Tony Ward (47) uses extra virgin cold pressed coconut oil as his only skin care product, impressive.

  • Can I just put it in my hair before bed and just leave it like that? Or will it make my pillow and skin all yucky??

  • @dancerchick6703 Put on a bandana or a towel on your pillow so your pillowcase doesn't get all oily.

  • Great video. I am a coconut girl so anything with coconut is a winner.

    rsanter1223

  • Organic extra virgin cold pressed coconut oil tastes better than conventional coconut oil and it actually tastes like coconut!

Conventional coconut oil tastes really bad, and I do not like it.

  • Could this product help with men's hair? Would it help towards growing hair, and stop hair from thining out?

  • i used it for make-up remover as well- Love it - great for the waterproof mascara - which is drama - hahha - but hadnt tried the hair thing- well do so now -Thanks

  • hey this was a good video very informative, can you coconut oil on acne prone skin? or bad idea? and secondly does it help you loose weight?

  • wouldn't it be better to use the stove to melt it other than using radioactive microwave thou? just a suggestion :-)

  • You are absolutely beautiful and glowing!

  • @DucatiNY Thank you so much!

  • i'm a natural redhead so my hair gets very coarse and dry. i have been searching for something to help my hair get shiny and less frizzy so thank you so much for this info. your skin and hair look amazing! i will be trying this.

  • U can find it at an Indian store too....most of the times I get it there, it is the same thing but it's just shipped from India and it's probably a lot cheaper!

  • I lived on a remote pacific island for several months 10 years ago and the women gave me a HUGE jar of homemade coconut oil before I left - they used it for everything, including baby care. I have NEVER used it?! Where I live it is liquid in summer and solid in winter. I always thought it would make my combination skin break out but my 10 year old jar still smells fresh, so you have intrigued me to give it a try....

  • What is the difference between whole made coconut oil and the stuff you can buy at the store?

  • @MrRawc I don't understand your question.

  • @TheSilverLining80 I think he means why not making it at home?

  • love, love coconut oil!!!! i purchase it regulary at a natural foods and fitness store along with omega smoothie vitamin.....

your skin looks ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS!!!! i never thought of the eyemakeup remover part.... thanks! love your video!

  • Will it clog my pores?

  • I love this video! I also use coconut oil for my hair and skin! i mix in some iodine to my coconut oil.

  • I just recently found out about this. I will let my wife and daughters know about the benefits of it for this...

  • your skin and hair are beautiful - nice glow - how long have you been using coconut oil if you don't mind?

  • IM CONFUSED. Do i buy the coconut oil hair stuff from the ethnic section, or the atually food coconut oil stuff??

  • @thugman420 food coconut oil

  • I just thought of something when watching this video.

David Wolfe mentioned Cacao (chocolate) tree bark gel as a hair growth / male pattern baldness reversal solution.

Would you happen to know where I can get cacao tree bark gel?

  • thanks for your video i have a question how often can i put the coconut oil in my hair can i use it every other day or once a week would be ok please help or if any body can let me know

  • I bought some as soon as I saw this video...but I have a question!!!

When I melt mine down, it solidifies by the next day. How does your vile stay liquified? I nuke it, use it, cover it in a container and leave it out. What am I doing wrong???

    Thanks!

  • @1129buttons You're not doing anything wrong. If it's cold, the oil will solidify pretty quickly. I just run my bottle under some hot water in the sink for a minute or so until enough is re-liquefied for me to use. ;)

  • @TheSilverLining80 Oh ok thanks...I thought your vile stayed liquified. :}

  • aah im soo excited to try this for my hair and weight loss!!

  • would this be helpful for scars? and ezcema?

  • @hanhanhayhay I don't know if it would do anything for scars. I would try sea buckthorn seed oil for ezcema.

  • @hanhanhayhay for scars use honey, apply it leave it for 15 mins and wash off

  • @hanhanhayhay The human skin flora layers renew completely during a 40 day period if left untouched. Go 80/10/10!

  • @hanhanhayhay. I have heard that aloe vera plant is great for scars. I would google it. It sounds worth checking into. ;D

  • Your skin is so BEAUTIFUL i had to start over the video after 30 secs coz i wasnt listening to what you was saying i was like wow your skin is so gleaming!!

  • @KadieKade90 Well isn't that sweet of you to say!?!? Thanks for the compliment. :)

  • @KadieKade90

    Youtube -

They Sold Their Souls For Rock And Roll

  • GREAT VIDEO, you can also buy coconut oil online at iher, com and use this coupon to ger $5 off, i bought the linving foods brand its really good.

    MOH807

  • In Australia excellent quality virgin coconut oil just like in this video can bought from rudanetrading website

  • I agree, your skin is radient! What kind of foundation/powder/base makeup do you use?

  • @mnmindy Check out my latest foundation routine video....I show you there!

  • I have it in my frigerator. When i want to scoop out a portion, its hard as cement. Any tips?

  • @albeeinla Its supposed to be hard. I scoop a bit into a bowl, and zap it in the microwave. Or you could set the jar of coconut oil into a bowl of warm water, and leave it until the oil softens

  • I heard you should not microwave it.. instead put in in a container, then put that container in hot water until it melts

  • You're ruining the properties of the oil by putting it in the microwave. Why do people do that?

    You look like Katherine Heigl

  • You're ruining the properties of the oil by putting it in the microwave. Why do people do that?

  • I really like to use coconut oil on my lips. face naturals is my favorite organic all natural skin care line that has several lip balms with coconut oil in them. Coconut oil by itself is a little too heavy for my face and I prefer more all around nourishment you can get from a professional organic, chemical free skin care company.

I looked for years trying to find a product that would work well with my skin type and face naturals was an immediate perfect fit. I love their company!

  • if you put it in your hair, it is amazing!

  • great vid and info. thx for posting. i hope you melt the coconut oil in a pan and not the microwave :)

  • my coconut just says 100% pure, it does not say virgin. Is that just as good?

  • @OoLaalaaaa

If you are going to eat it go with virgin! It has the nice flavor too.

  • @OoLaalaaaa no it has to be virgin or organic... or the 2 combined. Extra Virgin coconut oil is a mareketing scheme it is the same as organic virgin coconut oil. Pure coconut oil that does not have as much as properties as the organic coconut oil. Hope this helps :)

  • in order to use it as a conditioner, does my hair have to be free of any styling products?

  • you have a great glow to your skin, must be that coconut oil!

  • one more question the oil says expeller, is that safe to use on my face? it tends to leave my face very shiny is that normal or am I using the wrong one?People said it would absorb quickly and its not doing that for my face?? Hope someone can help me out.

  • I just bought the coconut oil but not sure if its the right one, it says its organic unrefined (spectrum organic virgin coconut oil) is that one good for the face?

  • Thanks for posting this.. I was using olive oil to remove eye makeup.. but, it's so.. heavy and gets in my eyes at times.

I keep a lil jar with a lid in the bathroom anyway... for my baby iguana. (ha, ha!!) to help with her shedding skin. She likes it.. tried to eat one time. :-)

  • i loved your video! i did not know that coconut oil can be used on the face, i only used it on my hair, so thank you for the tips!

  • I bought coconut oil from Whole Foods. I got the wrong one. It has no smell. It's deodorized. Is it still good for my hair and skin? Its by Now and the lady in the store recommended it when I told her I wanted it for my skin.

  • @cocowms6 It should still work just fine.

  • @cocowms6 it should Not smell.

  • @SexyIslanders ...TY! But isn't the organic virgin coconut oil better? Doesn't it have the sweet coconut smell? I haven't bought any yet. Im still using the one I have. I want to get what's going to work best!

  • @cocowms6 seriously? deodorized? it says that on the jar? it's from whole foods, it's prob. a good one. My brand is Spectrum. wrote u more on your page.. Lizzy

  • where can i get the virgin coconut oil?

  • @meowey55 Nutiva's website, Vitacost.com, Whole Foods, or any natural health food store.

  • Thanks for the post. I try to eat 3tbsp of coconut oil a day, and I haven't used it too much for skin or hair care. Thanks for the tips! I'll surely use them. You have great skin too!

  • girl ur skin is radiant.

  • @trnigyul Thanks!!!

  • you look so healthy and glowing! i guess that coconut oil is working!! :)

  • do u use evry day or ones week

  • I accidentally bought refined organic coconut oil. Is it OK to use it on my face and hair? If not, I'll keep it for cooking and go by virgin organic coconut oil....I should have watched your video first! Thanks for all of the tips. :o)

  • Wow! This video was very informative! Just what I was looking for! I've had EVCO in my pantry for sometime but was only using it occasionally for frying foods. This week I added some in some of Dr Bronners unscented baby mild body wash and it is FABULOUS in there! Just made my skin feel SO GOOD! I started to take it by the tablespoon this week also as have heard it is good for those suffering from chronic fatigue. THANKS FOR YOUR VIDEO! I will check out the others as well!!!!

  • Microwaving destroys some of the many benefits of Virgin Coconut Oil.

Put the 'stopper bottle' in a cup of warm/hot water for a few minutes to liquify it.

    Attractive lady.

    Nice accent too.

  • I am prone to break-outs. Will coconut oil help or make it worse?

  • I always use my EVCO!! In my bath, on my face, in my food....LOVE IT!!! The Lactic acid is such a gentle exfoliator too..I've been able to lower my cholesterol with internal use as well! It's fantastic on hair and skin..it's amazing! FABOO! Great video, yet again!

    xoxoxo

    - Jess

  • @MadMadamJess Thanks so much for watching and for your sweet comments!

  • Just bought a huge jar of organic extra virgin coconut oil. Very happy now :)

    And you look very healthy!

  • @chocoboasylum Yay for you! And thanks for the compliment!

  • Thanks a ton. What lipstick are u wearing?

  • can you put it on yr lips.?

  • Please don't microwave your lovely extra virgin organic coconut oil. Microwaves are evil.

I haven't used coconut oil on my face for quite a while (because I'm lazy), but I still eat about 1 tablespoon a day either by itself of in my food. Have been doing so for years now. It's great for cooking as the fat molecules are not easily damaged by heat like those of polyunsaturated fats found in olive oil.

  • i am surprised that not many people use coconut oil in their foods. I just did a Google search of its benefits and it seems better than all the other oils out there on the market.

  • So informative! So after I microwave some and put it in a dropper bottle, it will not turn back into a solid type state again, correct?

  • @mebeluvined No, it will solidify again. So just run it under some hot water for 30 seconds or so, and it will liquefy again. Thanks for watching!

  • Coconut oil is the only oil that is proven to penetrate the hair strand and moisturize the hair. Shampooing it out isn't the best thing to do. if you want to wash it out, condition wash your hair. Shampooing it is striping you hair of moisture. I love coconut oil so much! your skin is so pretty because of it. :)

  • One of the best products that few know about. I've used it for over a year (I'm male), and if you condition with it even once a week your hair will be really smooth and shiny after little time. Woman in the video stands out to me, most do not have shiny hair or healthy skin these days. A lot of that is because more are going with advertised hair products instead of cheaper and better natural ones. It also can be used to make a great chapstick. I'm rambling a bit but I clearly like EVCO.

  • I just bought mine from GNC and it smells like almond joy and coconut pie

  • Wow...thank you so much!

  • @TallStackinAllDay You're welcome.....thanks for watching and commenting!

  • is it better to clean the face before puttng coconut oil on it? is it also suitable for men skin because mine s dry?

  • @peugeotarto Yes, apply to clean skin. It's definitely suitable for men as well.
