  • all these knives are r hunked up kitchen knives

  • How Do You Know My Nan ? She's An Ugly Bitch. I Would Use A Dull Knife,And Cut My Own Balls Off If I Woke Up To Find Her Name On Them !

  • @qwe123enc i love my nan

  • I bet you've payed more just because it says Ray Mears on the knife. Or am I wrong?

  • @nitroflesh No actually. Ray's website sells it at the same price as anywhere else (£10, a little cheaper than some places actually). The downside is that it only sells the carbon-steel version, without the choice of the stainless-steel.

I did find one place selling it for £1 less though, guess where I'm buying mine from ;)

  • @Nayrbarr1234 Hmmm that's strange. Normaly you would think it should be more expensive. Thanks for answering.

  • @nitroflesh You're welcome :) I get the impression that Ray's just a nice guy who wants to help people get into bush-craft and survival rather than make a fortune off selling things. Also I suppose that he's paid a fair bit for his TV stuff.

  • @Nayrbarr1234 Yeah me too. Ray is ok unlike Bear Grylls.

  • @nitroflesh I much prefer Ray to bear but to be fair to bear the range of gerber survival knifes he has out are pretty decent for the price also. I do recommend having a look at them :)

  • Do You Have Your Mum's Name Inked On Your Ball's ?

  • @qwe123enc no i got your mums and your nans hahaahahahaha

  • @johnjayrambo11111 Lol good call

  • @qwe123enc ... :P

  • Is it sharp enough to shave with ??

  • @loxley70 Should be, but even if it wasn't you'd be able to sharpen it to that point with a whetstone, anyone who owns one of these should have.

  • Is it sharp enough to shave with ??

  • Nice review!

Shame the teenage wannabe scouts have found out how to review the video!

  • It's surprising and pisses me off that so many people think just coz someone has tats on their hands it must mean they are low life scum and have no views worth listening to.

You dont know his life or his background so stop assuming you are better than him just by the way he looks. Narrow minded fuckwits.

    Peace

  • I have this knife, without Ray Mears wrote on it. I bought it for £15, which I think was a good deal, they use it in the Swedish army.

  • it just looks like a kitchen knife...

  • I'm surprised idiots like you are allowed anything sharp

  • @yahoopig fuck off you cunt

  • @johnjayrambo11111 fuck off yourself you tattooed twat

  • @johnjayrambo11111 nice knife John mora are very good for the price

  • Nice one.... ignore the idiots mate. I have been looking at getting one of these knives, think I will spend 5 mins scrapping that RM signature off though.

  • How has the knife held up after use?

  • oh look at zeberdee

  • I got one of those. Cheep knife that works. think i bougt my for like 79:-sek. " Swedish kronor " its like 6-7 euro .

  • A fantastic knife for the money. Take a look at the destruction test on this knife absolutely surprising what this little knife puts up with.

  • Yeah, show that damn piece of paper! It didn't live to tell the tale huh!

  • are those prison tatts? you in a gang? what plannin on doing with that sharp knife??? explain yourself!!!

  • Good vid! I have the same Mora Knife. Anthony.

  • stick it up ur ass punk!! noone cares about ur gay knife fetish!!!

  • Have a look at the Mora 510 available there now, best £12 I've spent on kit, similar to this but a deeper tang and came razor sharp from the packet, I was amazed to be able to shave 1mm slithers of paper up to 20cm away from my hand without it tearing!

  • Nice knife, I prefer the traditional red though.

  • SAATANA PERKELE!

  • @Basram

    VITUN JUMALAUTA HUORAT SAATANA

  • $20 here in alberta

  • how much for it buddy

  • OMG! It can cut through paper!!! :O

  • Nice knife mate, i have a question. With it being carbon does it rust easy? Like, can you store it in the house as it is, or do you need to oil it to stop the rust?

  • omfg after watching 5 vids he finally smoke!!!!!

  • I have one and i rly like it.

  • wow...thanks for blowing into the camera at about 2:00 in...my ears hurt now =(

  • That is a great paper cutting knife!

  • like butter

  • now thats sharp

  • real swedish quality !

  • Cool video. Thanks for posting. I had never heard of the Mora until I walked in to my brother's house this afternoon, and he showed it to me. I asked what he paid for it, and I dropped that amount onto his coffee table. I kept it and told him to just order another for himself. It was already sharp, but I stropped it. Now, it's the sharpest knife that I've ever had.

  • looks like its a kitchen knife

  • look like my kitchen knife.

  • great more chavs stabbing ppl....

  • @sprucepantherkmt so what made you come to conclusion then ?explain yourself ??

  • @johnjayrambo11111 um....cause my mind has been brainwashed by the establishment to mock my fellow working class ppl?

  • @sprucepantherkmt fair enough

  • @sprucepantherkmt im scared. and he abuses the knife...

  • @bouncer160 dont get him angry...

  • @sprucepantherkmt ja, jag tala Svenska.... unlike him.

  • @sprucepantherkmt If you are believing every knife owner has a desire to stab people it sounds like you're from a family of chavs 'panther'!

  • the mora knives are great..but the mora clipper just have a half tang..

  • i've never seen a dull Mora

  • Wow.. you cut the paper! Amazing!

  • Great Knife, but fk'me, I would not want to meet the video's author down a dark ally :)

  • @foxabilo No you wouldn't want to meet him down a dark alley Foxy, cos he traps Foxes.

  • @vallonia Eeeeeep

  • needs honing

  • Seems like a great little knife. Very low price! Great knife to have on hand . And Not made (like shit) in China!

  • I'm from sweden and i own a knife made locally in dalarna... there's an old guy named Robert Mattson there who's an expert in making the steel, he uses the EXACT same intials and design when he marks his blades... way to go Ray copying that. My respect for Ray just sank alot

  • @Basram

Marketing, you didn't think ray sat in his shed all day making these knifes did you?

  • @hetrodoxly nope, I'm just disappointed he copied his logo :)

  • @Basram i know its 7 months ago but i think this is a genuine mora, ray just sell them and skimm off some of the profit like any retail and also adds his logo. and for mora thats more of a seal of approval. so its a winwin

  • good knife, bad review.

  • The classical Mora knife has a handle made of wood. I think those with plastic handle's are pretty much a random average knife.

  • @Dejavo I like the wood ones better too but I think the rubber on the plastic makes a difference (especially if wet) and adds value to what is already a good knife.

  • @Dejavo ,i got the Mora 840MG and Mora 711.t has a rubber-like grip.it has the best grip of any knife i ever owned.for me wood as a knife handle is history(Micarta is a whole different story though.very tough stuff).we live in times where we got better options than wood.the new materials produce a much better grip.better ergonomics.but to each their own ...we all differ.

  • i just suscribe to your channel.....your so cool man !!!.......keep it up !

  • its just a knife mate!

try buying a cut throat razor thats old school sharp

  • @kingbleah

Heh. That knife is capable of getting razor sharp. Just about any knife is, actually.

  • f5 skips adds

  • they do a similar one in tesco, that's sharper

  • they are great knifes to have i paid £4 from the game fair for mine

  • Why don'tyou buyed at Mora of Sweden directly? You save 5 or more....Oh! wash your hands buddy! lol...anyway it's a good knife for the price..except the initials on the sheet..lol..

  • @burronia if i bought a mora direct from sweden youit would cost me more than here after postage and packing costs and why wash my hands they are tattoos and the initials on what sheet are you on about its called a sheath

  • @johnjayrambo11111 sheat of course..sorry...nice tattos..lol...

  • @burronia

Just looked at the Ray Mears website. They're not charging that much for this knife, about on par with other online vendor.

  • @burronia hahahahahahaah sheet PMSL :D

  • They're also Roger Moores initials :p

  • lol, u should see this guys other videos...he's like Tacklebury from the movie Police Academy.

  • the reason u are having trouble cutting the paper looks like it is due to the dampness of the air....

  • 10 pounds for that? You can get it for $10 here.

  • @MisterMinnesota Same thing basically.

  • I heard those were really good knives for the price ! =)

  • these knives are awesome, but the reason they are cheaper than most fixed blades is because they are made in sweden, they are a little thin, and because they are are not full tang. i wouldn't consider them heavy duty by any means, but for bushcraft, you can't find a better knife

  • Bought one of these for my daughter to go to scout camp withto be honest, Im rather jealous. Its a really good knife for the money, I want one myself

  • OOOOH!! I just posted a message in response to your sharpen a knife video!! Didn't realize you were also a fan! :D You lucky sausage :D Love it!!!

  • the Swedish Mora knife is very good quality. but I think you should buy you a mora knife2000 much better oh it is used in the Swedish arm

  • No offense, but dont slash at paper it is the most dumb ass thing you can do with a sharp knife, my brother lost the use of his left index and middle fingers because of that.

  • @ouefvoueeyciow3eutf well your brothers a nob then! slashing paper like that is a test of sharpness... you have to be a complete and utter prick to cut yourself doing that!

  • Mora makes great heavy duty knives for a good price.

Reason for being cheaper in Sweden is probably cuz you won't need shipping etc.

  • pos , get a real knife like a fallkniven geeza OK !

  • seems like a good knife to match with a good hatchet/hunting axe

  • on the rm knife theres no belt loop on the sheth

  • got mine this morning! ray mears is written on the blade!

  • With the money that you saved on that Mora, maybe get a real tattoo artist. Ha

  • Having that much trouble cutting into paper is normal for a factory fresh Mora. A few strops on a stone and it will be much improved. See Mears sharpening videos. Like the green color and the Mears logo.

  • Ray might want his knife back its got his initials on it heh

Its a good knife I have one to.

  • ok see you later

  • I would buy it if it had johnjayrambo 1111 on the sheath! Otherwise they seem to be very good knifes for the price.

  • My knives cut like that and they are dull as hell. For now, i am in desperate need of some whet stones.

  • they come that sharp swedish quality

  • wow that was sharp wat do u use to sharpen it

  • I have that knife!

    The knife is soooo light!

But unfortunately the blade is delicate.

  • are those sparrows on your hands?? if so what part of the forces were u in?

  • @burberrybedroom

    swallows they mean freedom

  • oh OK. just i got a m8 with similar tats and he was in the forces for 20 yrs.

  • to him they probably symbolise 'freedom from the forces' but i think they usually symbolise gettin out of the jail

  • they mean together for ever that why always in pairs as swallows mate for life

  • oh! cool

  • Good starter knife :) I got mine for £7.99 with £2 postage :)

  • You can buy that knife for about 3-4 dollars here in sweden.

  • @Vattendrag Yes I remamber -at every gas station. In Berlin they go for 12-20 € ... 3 - 4 $ sounds crazy cheap for this model .. are you sure?

  • @Vattendrag Nja just den där kostade nog 70-90kr när jag köpte den på clas ohlsson. Men skitsamma billigt är det.

  • @Vattendrag Theyre overpriced outside SW, In US its about 10 bucks. Given bang/buck ratio its still good deal.

  • @Vattendrag

Would say about 4-8 dollars (im swede too) to be more realistic..

If you want a really priceworthy knife (allthough that one is), go for the mora 2000, in sweden it costs about 20 dollars, dont know in uk/us..

  • @Vattendrag Pft, claes olssons, 10kr, (1.5 USSD)

  • @Vattendrag You can buy Swedish women here in the UK for the same, how funny?! :p Jokes!

  • tu vrei sa ne arati ceva dar nu te pricepi de ajuns, asa ca stai cuminte mai bine

  • @damailama i agree!

  • very nice knife, how much by the way?

  • £10

  • love that british commando camo. i wanna get some for when i go in the woods.

  • i have the same knife of the same website and mine does not have the ray mears logo on it , it only has it on the blade and my had gold liittlespots

  • I thought you were going to go sick on that thing hanging from the coat hanger...

  • WHAT!!!!!!

  • hey dude chill, maybe he wanted the ray mears emblum on the blade, whats 2 quid?

  • how much did it cost you?

  • didnt ray use it for one of his t.v shows-bushcraft

and would you recomened it as a survival knife.

  • definately

  • It's because people expected you opening a genuine ray mears woodlore knife mate. It's highly desireable and hand made 500 quids worth and there are fans of it all over the world because it's been used on tv by the man himself.

  • i like mora knives but i like them with the wood handle not plastic

    best wishes johnjayrambo

    good luck

  • Mora knives are excellent value for money; when you get more experienced, then you may want something a bit more robust

  • did ray mears design the knife and if no what has he got to do with it.

  • no ray mears has nothing to do with it except sell it on his wesite and use it to give to people starting out on his courses

  • is that the mora training knife

  • sure is

  • SNIPZ you puta, for a quid u can buy som shit plastic knife ;) this is CARBON STEEL moron from Sweden (Swedish knives are the best)

  • what the fuck is the matter with all these weird comments i,m only showing a knife i bought

  • hey johnjyrambo can i have your add ??

    i mean you email??

and we can chat there ??

if yes send me it in mail box in msn ??

    best wishes

  • hey johnyrambo i just want to tell you that when you sharpen your knife you really must put your stone into water it is much better like that

    best wishes from me

and today is my 15 birthday

  • hey i am sorry that is a cool knife and you are cool too

    so are we cool now?

  • ha ha yes of course

  • Yes, it´s a good knife, but you don´t have to pay not more than 8 -9 € for such Moras in europe.

(maybe you better order it in europe)

The best mora-knife is the mora 2000. It´s also available in "never lost edition". The blade is thicker and more stabil than the standart-models.

  • that knife sux you sanama bitch ! !

  • you sux you sanama bitch ! !

  • hes got some good stuff ray mears.

  • Can't go wrong with a mora, great little knife for light to medium work. Well worth the $10.

However, since I have a RC-4, my moras are on kitchen duty ;)

  • I've got a Ontario Ranger RD-4 (and 6).that is also a fine blade.and this mora MG840 I did put mustard on the blade ,then sandpapererd it(grit1000).it is a piece of art now.looks like damascus.

  • mine in post!!

  • hah fun to see that actually more knifes are used not only in Sweden!

  • sportsmansguide,com 2 for $24.99

  • great knives for the price but that paper test was a bit of a failure lol , it coulda been alot sharper

  • is the rubber hard or quite soft?

  • its more of a compound inbetween rubber and another sort of plastic ish rubber so i say both

  • id say quite soft. the clippers are very comfortable to hold. i got an ordinary none-ray mears one (same but without logo) just over a year ago on a course, its very good, rubber is basically the same as any other rubber tool handle

  • bensbackwoods has a ton of them. all different steels and colors

  • Can't beat the Mora's for the price.

  • Same knife (or copy) in supermarket is only 9 euros and its f**king sharp.

  • A great knife at a great price.

  • nice but not very sharp.

  • sharper than most comercial knives

  • malc i wan't one of these but the raymears shop has sold out any idea's were i can get one?

  • if i,m right i think greenman bushcraft sell them maybe ,google it

  • ray mears got them in now ordering mine friday
