ahhh i miss those days. back in 2009 when i was in 6th grade me and my friend had watched lords of dogtown the summer before and were inspired to grow our hair and start old school skating and we did that the whole schoolyear. not to mention all of the mischeif we got into and listening to sabbath and hendrix. then he cut his hair in 7th grade and started listening to eminem and what not. point is, you dont have to of had lived in the 70s to have a kick ass time like the zboys

they usually do like a pivital turn. it kinda depends on what angle you go at it. if you come in from the side you can make it one big turn. But if you come straight at wall, they did pivital turns. i don't think they were any pivits in this video though.

the new subculture is awful, it's not easy, it's almost harder but some people just totally sell the most important aspects- fun and having a good time for the sake of some tricks which is cool but I don't think it's as kick ass. and also the new subculture has mostly gotten very agressive, well with exceptions but mostly; back then dudes were also rough but happy-go-lucky, evolving straight outta the surf.. now it's different. but whatever, that's just my view. the pool and vert is the life :)
