Correction. The "I Ran" parody Rich & I shot was for the first season of "Let's Bowl" which aired in Minneapolis/St.Paul a couple of years before Comedy Central picked up the show. It was sponsored by Budweiser and was a big hit locally. During the second season on CC, they decided to reprise the bit and as usual, it was again a big hit. I have the entire version if you "tubers" would like to see it.

This parody was NOT made for "Let's Bowl"..the comedian (Rich Kronfeld) made it earlier, and parodied the ENTIRE song. The full parody has to be around SOMEPLACE...Rolling Stone's website used to have it, but no longer does. Anybody know where the full copy might be?

I beg to differ massively here; I really do like "trashy" and "cheesy" low-budget videos made in the 80´s !!

I would even go further and dare to say that this kind of low budget videos just fit the spirit and intentions of New Wave and the early 80´s generally (purism ans nihilism for instance ).

I would chose those "one of the all-time worst music videos" over the technically overproduced BS of nowadays with all those naked girls and violence agitation in it any day.....!!

I guess I responded too quickly, when I said, it was "one of the all-time worst music video". I actually agree with you; I should have said, "trashiest", "cheesiest" or "funkiest" videos of all-time. It's kitsch factor is off the charts and it has to be in the top 5 best 80's video period. We laughed our asses off at the mere absurdity of trying to reproduce this classic, most memorable music video. I Luv The 80's!
