@itsandroidsworld i have mytouch 3g. but i dont have a data plan, just sms/mms capabilities. right now i have 2.2.1 installed but its super slow, so i was thinking about downgrading back to 1.5. and rooting it. will this work on 1.5 or 1.5? do i have to update 2.2.1 again after rooting? thanks

@jhottie91 As he says in the video.. you need a custom loader thats what comes up when he reboots and selects ANY thing he chooses to flash etc., he mentions the one he has too. IF you haven't rooted your phone you have no business messing with Roms and other installations since you are just looking for a brick...Read up on how to Root and Install custom recovery. Once you have that down you are ready to mess with roms =),Some roms require updated spl's even radio's etc. do the hw and ull be set

Rom has several bugs and things that I just dont like. Auto Cap doesn't work at the beggining of sentence sometimes. Trouble installing apps from market I have to download them several times. I highly dislike the security lock screen & the google search bar.

When I first flashed this rom, SupSetup kept force closing. I wanted apps to sd and linux swap so I downloaded Rom Manager from the market (free edition) You have to flash your recovery and it is a really nice recovery. Just a tip with this recovery you have to use the del button to go back (back button doesn't work). Use the fix permissions option in Rom Manager to fix all force closes. Once I did that SupSetup 4 worked! Hope this helps!

I was having BIG troubles with this rom! My home, call, and camera buttons were not working a long with lock screen and only the power off function showed when I held down the power button. I re flashed it and was still getting a force close every time I changed from regular to landscape. With some investagating I found it was my taskkiller widget that was causing the error. I think ill keep it for awile but adventaly change to the new SuperD.

This rom often gives me force close.... so I had to flash the laster SuperD's rom. SuperD 1.10.2 is really the rom you need :)

I did not root my mytouch. I went to the recovery image and it says a lot more what i am showing but i wanna make sure my phone has all the requirements to download new roms:

Format SD: fat32

And at the bottom is says: Build: RAv1.2.16

SO CAN I GET NEW ROMS WITH HIS TUTORIALS, DO I MEET THE REQUIREMENTS.

No, you need amon ras newer recovery. Then you would need to partition your sd with fat 32 ext2/3/4 and linux swap(optional)
