I just got this bike & when i ride i feel like if i hold it @ like half-throttle for 5 seconds i need to shift already, but i just came from a 2 stroke. can anyone tell me a time in the video where he needs to shift & hasn't?

i have the same problem when i ride my friends crf250r i have always had a 2 stroke and when you jump on a 4 stroke its hard to hear the rev point but what i do is just go off of felling when to shift it its hard to get use to but if you have been ridig for a long time like me you just have that felling when to shift

Honestly mate, a lot of it is down to personal preferance. Theres 250fs that are faster but less reliable, there are 250fs that are more reliable but suffer in performance and ones that are just generally shit. lol. Personally, if i was going to ride a 250f i'd make it a japanese one, probably an rmz or a yzf, but thats just my personal choice. One thing is for sure though- if you're going over to 250f from a 2stroke, you can expect your servicing bills to triple.

Yeah, i heard the valves on the crf can be a bit dodgy. Not experienced this first hand, but it's worth considering. The cool thing about the RMZ though is they dont need much major service. Keep the air filter clean and the shims fresh and you should never have to do much mroe than that.

Yeah, i know that feeling. I got a shit load of red kit then went and bought a YZ 125. I think im getting either a new RM or an 06/07 CR 125 at the end of this year though, so it wont be too bad. lol.

not at all.. kawi is wet sump motor and has a real rigid frame and sucks ass.. i have one.. the suzuki is a semi dry sump motor, better handling, less rigid frame and just better and more torqy
