Technically, you're doing the right thing. Anatomically, especially on the legs, you make lots of mistakes. I noticed that on your Blastwave comic, too. Instead of learning the bones and muscles you hide things that you cannot paint.

If you get a hold on human anatomy, you'll be classes better than this. In fact I believe you taught yourself a lot in the meantime. I enjoy your comic style, but not so much your concept art. It's not refined "enough" to stick out.

@TheLobstersoup While I agree that the anatomy isn't perfect, I don't think that's the point of his speed paintings. What I like about his drawings here on Youtube is that he shows that he's able to make a sketch that gets the point across in a short amount of time. The gesture's there, the lighting is clear. It's loose, but it works pretty well. What he does in 29 minutes will take someone else HOURS just to achieve the same thing.

Hey, when you draw do you look things up and take things from other drawings or do you do it complete from memory?

I draw from my head.

If I draw something where things need to be right, for example something for work, then I use reference.
