let me say a little something... I think I know the reason why he sounds different in the black parade. I've heard that drugs, alcohol, and smoking, or maybe just either, distorts your voice. Gerard is clean now...

He DID sound better in their earlier records in my opinion. thought i should say.

to be honest, his voice rocks in every album and even if it was slightly worse if he had carried on the way he was, their wouldnt of been a black parade if it means having a slight diff. in his voice and, the black parade lyrics are pretty dark, i would rather have THAT than have any of mcr's band members on drugs or be an alchoholic, and im not too happy that they smoke, their messing with health, they mean to much to me, and have helped me through too much stuff for me not to care about them.

yeah you're right!! it's way better for them to stay away from drugs. although I prefer Gee's voice in their first 2 albums, its not worth it to drug yourself to distort your voice. MCR mean a lot to people and their songs are like no other bands... gerard is just too creative in song writing!!!!

I Know, bullets was probably the darkest, but i although they were dark, i think some are pretty sweet, and really good meaning, although the reason was wrong! yeah. bullets is such a great album... revenge was good cos it was more developed but bullets was lyrically better in my opinion. of course, some newer songs are better than some older songs but bullets just rocks in my opinion.

and the black parade is really good, but nothing close to mcr's potential. of course, it must have taken losts of talen to compose those songs with so many layers of music such as welcome to tbp but i still prefer their older stuff. well thats just my opinion.
