Ever consider what a Micro Turbo supercharger would do? Not saying it needs the power. Considering it has actual poppet valves and a turbo could build positive manifold pressure without evacuating the entire combustion chamber before the compression cycle, I figure itd be interesting to see. Nice job!
ive been wanting to do something like this on my traxxas rustler since ive made the 3.3 conversion and been looking for more power. i just need to learn a little more about the setup.
I also have the exhaust headers welded in place to keep that from falling apart. It's expensive, but very worth it to know everything's going to stay put during a long race.
I had some port plugs machined, then after inserting and bonding them in place, I take the heads to a CNC machinist to have the new port and fastener holes drilled and tapped in the side of the head. I also had special intake manifolds and carb adapters made to match that will work with any 1/10th scale carburetor.
It does need a cooling fan, otherwise it overheats the valve springs and ring, causing them to lose tension (bad).
How did you change the carburetor location? Does it have to have a cooling fan I've always wanted to put one of those rb concepts superchargers on one of these.
Thanks. I will have some more race footage to upload soon! 2009 was a much better year for me in Wenatchee - I took 2nd place in one of the most exciting race finishes I've ever had the pleasure of being part of!
Dude, this is soooo nice. I have read your 4-stroke Revo thread a dozen times. I have a 52 in the garage and a t-maxx that begs to hold it. Even if just for a tank or 2. I may play with it this summer. If I ever get in to the GT2 scene, I will be looking you up for a kit. ;-) You are top knotch, no doubt.
is it 4wd?

have you tried the Fs 52 valve springs ?..
they're the same diameter outside and inside as the 26 but they're 14mm vs 12mm for the 26 cx?

Yes, you can buy the truck and engine at any hobby shop. The kit to make it all fit together is on Ebay. Search for "Thump RC" and you'll find it.
