@RoBlobEpicness If you backup, you will be able to get it back if you restore your device. You will be asked if you want to restore from a new iPhone or from your backup. Also, if you have 5.0 or over, or you want to upgrade, check out my channel, you might want to upgrade! Cheers
@RoBlobEpicness It's not very important, if you want to restore it, you can choose to restore it from backup afterwards! iTunes will find it automatically for you.
y i am running one version 4.3.5 and firmware 04.10.01 and it finishes loading the pineapple pic area when rebooting but the after it restarts it goes back to the recover mode screen why is this.
my iphone 4 says that it is a 4.2.10 (8E600) model. I downloaded that firmware and it says that it cant be identified when i run it in redsn0w.
When i download the 4.2.10 (8C148) firmware it works. However during the "reboot" stage my screen goes to an illuminated black screen (no apple logo) and stays there for good. I know how to reboot my ipod so this doesnt worry me. However, i still cannot jailbreak my iphone because i cant get passed the reboot stage.

Simply try it again. Force restart your iPod and do it again. It should work at some point. If it doesn't work, check my "fix white cydia icon" maybee it will help you out!
Hey! so far the jailbreak went welll till the last part of the ''REBOOTING'' process. after all the data and the weird numbers on the screen, the itouch would just revert back to the apple logo and go back to recovery mode. please help. ive been doing this jailbreak for 1 week alr. @grizzlyskills I'm not sure I understand the problem here. If you see a zip file, and not the IPSW file, go into any folder on your computer (press ALT if you are on windows vista/windows 7) and select "Tools" > "Folder Option..." > View Tab > Advanced Settings > UNCHECK "Hide Extention For Known Type Files". After, rename the file "XXXXX.ipsw.zip" to "XXXXX.ipsw" and it will work!
Ipress the reset and yes the phone reset the springboard but then when the reset its done the phone reset himself one more time and then the message appeare...
@DarkJavier8 I would clean stock restore. Then Jailbreak again. That's probably your only option... Unfortunatly. Sucks but it's part of the risks of jailbreaking..
@DarkJavier8 What do you have installed? Maybe too much programs are running... Do you have a lot of themes on winterboard or something? If nothing works, you may have to restore your phone :( Try to figure which programs you installed lately could affect your phone's performance.

@EmoScreamGoRawr It's the file itself, not the files inside it. Change the name of the folder you downloaded from "xxxiPhone3_2_1.IPSW.RAR" to "xxxiPhone3_2_1.IPSW" .
@on3gam3ing try holding the home button for as long as possible at the end. Make sure you have the right IPSW. Also, make sure your device is turned off at the start. Don't forget to press the power button for 3 seconds at the start

@DarkJavier8 It seems you need the 2.3 Version of Jumimouse. If it's not 2.3 it's normal it's not working. That's the only reason I can see why it's not working.
@1stGamerdud3 You need to reboot it but try jailbreaking. Try my video "Redns0w tethered boot tutorial 4.2.1" but instead of choosing on "Boot tethered now" choose the "jailbreak option". You should be fine.

@DarkJavier8 What do you have installed? Maybe too much programs are running... Do you have a lot of themes on winterboard or something? If nothing works, you may have to restore your phone :( Try to figure which programs you installed lately could affect your phone's performance.

hey man my phone right now just suddently crash and I dont know why,
the thing is that a message appeare and said that the phone is It Safe Mode reset or reboot. First I reset but nothing happened... Then I just reboot it and still nothing happend... its still on Safe mode.... What I can do?

@DarkJavier8 You probably downloaded something from cydia and installed it. Delete it from cydia and you should be fine!

@khansalas99 Don't jailbreak with Redns0w, jailbreak with Greenpois0n RC5, check in my videos for a complete tutorial step by step. It's also untethered!

I don't know why but after jailbreaking it I can't get things that need to be in settings. Like infinifolders, barrel, folder enhanser. . Etc

@Itouch4g15 You need to install "Installous" via cydia. Check my Installous video. If you already did that, Try to restart your iDevice, if you're stuck on the apple logo, check out my "Redsn0w tethered boot 4.2.1" video tutorial.

If it gets stuck , do the following :
-Set affinity to CPU 1 only
-make compatibility to Windows XP
- Run as admin.

@bluntx123 maybe you downloaded it as a ".rar" file. Remove the ".rar" part of the file so it finishes with ".ipsw"

I cannot find the firmware anywhere, I have downloaded redsnow and the firmware from the link you posted but I cant find the firmware when i open redsnow. Any ideas?

@lavadr umm none of them have .rar and none of them have IPSW. there are multiple files but idk what to do with them. am i missing something?

@EmoScreamGoRawr It's the file itself, not the files inside it. Change the name of the folder you downloaded from "xxxiPhone3_2_1.IPSW.RAR" to "xxxiPhone3_2_1.IPSW" .

when i download the firmware it is in a winrar folder but when i extract it wont let me open with redsn0w. what am i doing wrong?

@on3gam3ing try holding the home button for as long as possible at the end. Make sure you have the right IPSW. Also, make sure your device is turned off at the start. Don't forget to press the power button for 3 seconds at the start

Hey I downloaded an app .ipa from the internet.... Jumimouse I add it top itunes and put in on my iphone, but the app dont open... I press it and the app do that open but its all black and then crash.... This is appeare on the page that I downlaoded

@DarkJavier8 It seems you need the 2.3 Version of Jumimouse. If it's not 2.3 it's normal it's not working. That's the only reason I can see why it's not working.

@1stGamerdud3 You need to reboot it but try jailbreaking. Try my video "Redns0w tethered boot tutorial 4.2.1" but instead of choosing on "Boot tethered now" choose the "jailbreak option". You should be fine.

Hi there, Im wondering if anyone could help me with this issue:
For some reason when I turn on my itouch, there are no longer any small icons representing most of my applications, except the ones that initially are installed on your itouch when your restore it. Instead, all that shows up is small white boxes. This happened after I installed Installous. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

@TheKariinalove Make sure you don't have an iPod touch 2nd Gen MC model. I don't know what to say here. Try with itunes opened. Then closed. Try with another computer.
