Dude Punk isn´t just clothes. It´s the music, loud raw and fast. The Ramones were the first. Real punks aren´t cuz of clothes, it´s the music and the DIY attitude. I use the leather jacket and ripped up jeans because of the Ramones. I love it. But that does make me a punk because I actually listen to the Ramones and Real punk.

They were the First. Period. End of Story. Get your Punk Right. Don´t think what the "World" Calls "punk" today is even close.

In fact, skinheads barely existed outside of England when punk was around. They didn't show up until later when the hardcore scene emerged. As for mohawks? HA! Every day,(1978') a shoving match in the school's hallways, and on Fridays, a meeting ground where something like 100 people were involved , punks and rockers.. We still have some of the grounds here in my neighborhood, unscathed, after 33 years..No new houses, shopping mall, construction. Just a dirty polluted field, sittin there, like a portal from the past, the days of yesterdays rebellion, still breathing!!!!!
