I agree that paypal is extremely unfair to sellers. Although its great for buyers. I bought an item and after a week it broke, the seller had my ship it back for a refund, but he sent me a email saying that the warenty is only valid if everything it came with was there, he claimed some stirofome padding was missing. I called paypal and got my cash back like 6 hrs later. I looked it up and 93% of dispute are won by the buyers. So, buy don't sell with paypal.
Paypal in combination with eBay is a completely UNSAFE environment for both buyers and sellers. Do not buy/sell anything using this system unless you are prepared to lose the money on the item and any shipping costs. The worst thing about PayPal/eBay is the illusion they create of everything being "safe" for buyers and sellers. It's complete bullshit and I hope someone takes them to courts soon for false advertising.

Just got scammed $15000.Thats right!I'm in state of stress. I sold 15k worth of goods, sent with Fedex, to a person who used her & friends to pay 4 them, 1 month later the funds were charged back,all except 2, which are on hold by Paypal, I'm in the RED 5k, pending review (up to 75 dys). Regretsy raised money for children's toys for Christmas. Paypal closed it and said that they're not a charity so they can't raise money for children, BUT DID ADMIT that if they were raising money for a sick cat it's allowed. SO, since Regretsy isn't a charity, they refunded everyone's money...... after taking a cut of the fees. So they denied children toys for christmas, AND MADE MONEY DOING IT. Interesting.
Let's do this! My girlfriend just had $700 literally stolen from her by PayPal after a buyer claimed to never have authorized payment even though she had great comments from him on eBay! And the email address of the guy who sent her emails asking about the iPad is the SAME email address of the guy who denied authorizing payment!
When seller say they did not get the item and did a charge back, wouldn't you have proof that the item is deliver with Tracking Number and Signature Confirmation. For expensive item I sell, I alway put Tracking Number with Signature on it for it to be deliver, never run into problem with seller trying to rob me because I have proof it got deliver.

PayPal is a very shady company. They have done this kind of thing countless times and when you speak to their customer service representatives, they talk to you like you're worthless. They are a huge bully company taking their percentage cuts and then demanding returns on stuff they already took their cuts from.
The amount of fees they take you would think they can get this right, 10% eBay charge, 5% Paypal, listing fees, etc. I'm yet to have a major problem but I'm very wary!

I had a bad experience with paypal a couple years ago. They had already taken out the funds that were for using their service, yet they charged my bank account the same amount. Twice in a row. They ended up over drafting my bank account and causing it to become locked and put on probation with my bank. They had no right to go into my account and steal money. As soon as I've finished this final deal, I'm done with this company.

I did google pay-pal before i knew what they were, and lord behold alot of people do have considerable troubles when doing business with them. I just got scammed on $2700.00 from a online customer who used paypal as form of payment through my website. The payment went through and I received an email from paypal saying that the payment was reviewed (after 24h) and that was safe to ship. 5 days after I shipped the items paypal does a reversal and I lose my money and merchandise!! When I call them they told me they did it because the payment was flagged and for Merchant protection!!! Do not use paypal!!!

So, I called up PayPal & Ebay and long story short - they both agreed it "sounded fradulent", yet no one would take responsibility for it, and they both claimed it was "out of their hands", telling me to call the cops and fraud dept. After all was said and done, I was never reimbursed from ANYONE. The buyer kept the item, I was never paid...period. And everyone I contacted for help simply gave me the run-around - even after making me call around, fill out forms, etc. NOTHING WAS RESOLVED!
This is DISGUSTING! I had an experience with PayPal once, where a buyer on EBAY bought a gold necklace from me for about $100. The buyer paid via PayPal and immediately messaged me asking when I was going to ship. I wrote back, shipped the item, and confirmed shipment. No sooner did I confirm shipment, when the buyer reversed the PayPal transaction. No reasons were given - it was simply REVERSED! I had no way to stop this or protect myself.
eBay and paypal are thieving bastards, they can put a hold on your money in your account, and it wasn't even my money, it was buyers money for Postage that they had paid, they can even make your account go overdrawn and renders your account useless until you add funds to cover it, and then they take the money. I think they have a cheek, considering how much I pay them in fees every month. We need to unite & start are own eBay, the peoples eBay, we'll call it dBay.
i just had the same thing happen to me from my car and the guy reversed half the payment and paypal says they are not responsible and that i have to paypal back the money because i transferred the money to my bank account before letting the title go to the buyer. the buyer reversed the payment almost 45 days later which is the last time you can reverse the payment. now i have to have my lawyer go after the guy and called the police for grand theft auto!

I was hearing your video further and heard that they refunded the buyer but it was not with your money. They refunded the buyer with their money assuming you would have the money in your paypal account but you had already spent it so they have your amp and want their money. That makes sense had he not done the paint job but watch out when sending items international with no tracking cause its to expensive and the buyer says they never got it and pay pal refunds them no matter what you say.
Also Paypal never provided proof that they had the item, I asked for pictures and verification and they never provided any. I was not going to take the item back anyways. But would would even think about it without a picture.
ebay and paypal are a scam. Ebay is now making profit on shipping fees sellers charge. That is straight up fraud but since they call it their policy you are at their mercy if you use their website. Paypal is an ebay company and they charge you a percent to receive your money even after ebay already charged you seller fees and a percent of the sale.

@patreck1969 even though the information is still relevant now, police departments were not very forthcoming for prosecuting online thefts. It's like it was make believe. Realize this was 5 years ago and if it happened now it may be a different story. But even now police departments dont really do anything about it.

So I transfered the rest of the money to my bank account(44 dollars), then their payment got reversed , and im negative 33 dollars......So i refund the payment and dont send out my item, so now My balance is 44 dollars.........wtf is paypal doing? Most people are honest, but the crooket ones make a career of fraud, I know a case of a buyer that files charges backs, to different sellers all the time, and then changes his id and continues filing chargebacks, paypal or ebay do nothing to stop this crook, they take the sellers money.
Someone needs to ask PayPal what they do with the interest earned on FROZEN ACCOUNTS that are eventually returned 180 days later....and that's only after you have to call them. After freezing 6800 from my account the same day EBAY gave me a power seller certificate for 100% feedback....PayPal froze my funds for "excessive" activity. 6 months later no apology...NO INTEREST. Frozen accounts are BIG BIZ FOR PAY PAL..THEY EARN THE INTEREST...AND GIVE U NOTHING EVEN WHEN EXONERATED. IRS please!

Paypal froze my account and said they were conducting a review and monitoring for Money Laundering after I sold a mere $4,500 worth of gold and silver coins from my family collection. They run their company like Hitler. They can freeze your assets and take money from your account. I think the Attorney General need to conduct a review of them.
Scamming on paypal is actually not hard at at. When you purchase an item, dispute it. After about a week, file it to a claim. Make sure the item is already shipped. So now, you get your money AND the item. HAPPY SCAMMING! :)

Its the bank that issues chargeback no matter who you go thru they cant stop it just try to help you fight it.. so if any seller wants to cut down there risk stop taking paypal/credit/debit cards start taking money order/cashiers check and use sig confirmation on items over $250 and delivery confirmation on items under and then all you got to worry about is ebay item not as described claims and but atleast that will eliminate the chances of a chargeback or item not received claim.
i just listed a hp netbook on my Baltimore's craiglist for $180...some african dude wants to send me $280 to ship it to africa. I'm not accepting the pending paypal transaction nor am i sending the laptop off. no money changed hands so it should be ok. even if i sent the guy a box of bricks i would still get charged back the $280

Paypal/Ebay is a scam. They removed hundreds of dollars from my checking account, said they had no record of it. My bank traced it to their Wells Fargo in Singapore and Paypal would not investigate it, even with a ACH trace number. They kept my money. You cannot talk to anyone who makes decisions, only tier 1 in India who could see the transaction but did not have the "tools" to do anything about it. Once it got "escalated" to morons who have not graduated 3rd grade, no one could see the trans.

Ebay feeds & nurtures a culture of fraud by rewarding false "item not received" claimers w automated refunds. Ebay routinely ignores standard proof of shipping including postal receipt photos & ignores reputable members testimony even a 13 yr 20,000+ item Ebay history. DOJ should end this despicable procedure. I lose approx 10% of my Paypal payments to this sort of claims fraud. Ebay is treacherous & often unrewarding. Paypal is required, traditional, much safer forms of payment are forbidden.

Hey...I just got screwed the other way...I paid $760 for an item...the seller "said" they sent it via Registerd Post (this in in Australia)...it never got delivered and there was NO evidence of this item in the Aust Post system...the seller had a "copy" of a stamped acknowledgement slip...now I'm not saying he didn't mail it...i'm saying i never got it. A class action lawsuit is already in the works. Check out the law firm website of Freed and Weiss LLC out of Chicago. They've started a class action suit and have several former ebay sellers already named who've had problems with the 180 day phony holds. I suggest anyone who had issues with paypal contact them and try to get in on the suit.

You want to know how to defeat PayPal? Get a Merchant Account so you can collect CC payments, just like any store. Using a Merchant Account, the money gets transferred to the safety of your bank account....not into PayPal's Nazi Fourth Reich control and coffers. If anyone wants info on the best Merchant Accounts, let me know. I have researched about 100 hours finding the BEST one for my businesses, plus I get $100 for referring you after your second successful transaction.

Just got scammed $15000.Thats right!I'm in state of stress. I sold 15k worth of goods, sent with Fedex, to a person who used her & friends to pay 4 them, 1 month later the funds were charged back,all except 2, which are on hold by Paypal, I'm in the RED 5k, pending review (up to 75 dys). I can't use my funds and I've been an honest seller for years.On top of that, they reversed a withdraw & kept $400 conversion fee! Buyer knew 2 pick up the item from Fdx. Class action anyone? Regretsy raised money for children's toys for Christmas. Paypal closed it and said that they're not a charity so they can't raise money for children, BUT DID ADMIT that if they were raising money for a sick cat it's allowed. SO, since Regretsy isn't a charity, they refunded everyone's money...... after taking a cut of the fees. So they denied children toys for christmas, AND MADE MONEY DOING IT. Interesting.

When seller say they did not get the item and did a charge back, wouldn't you have proof that the item is deliver with Tracking Number and Signature Confirmation. For expensive item I sell, I alway put Tracking Number with Signature on it for it to be deliver, never run into problem with seller trying to rob me because I have proof it got deliver.

I had a bad experience with paypal a couple years ago. They had already taken out the funds that were for using their service, yet they charged my bank account the same amount. Twice in a row. They ended up over drafting my bank account and causing it to become locked and put on probation with my bank. They had no right to go into my account and steal money. As soon as I've finished this final deal, I'm done with this company.

Well, i must say pfuckh the pfuckh off to paypal. I am slowly learning to hate this simple "solution" It seems that many retailers who use pay-pal tend to have no alternatives for their customers who wish to pay for an item. I did google pay-pal before i knew what they were, and lord behold alot of people do have considerable troubles when doing business with them. I therefore have taken a stand: i will never create any pay-pal account for myself. I will rather burn in hell. Use your creditcard!

I just got scammed on $2700.00 from a online customer who used paypal as form of payment through my website. The payment went through and I received an email from paypal saying that the payment was reviewed (after 24h) and that was safe to ship. 5 days after I shipped the items paypal does a reversal and I lose my money and merchandise!! When I call them they told me they did it because the payment was flagged and for Merchant protection!!! Do not use paypal!!!

So, I called up PayPal & Ebay and long story short - they both agreed it "sounded fradulent", yet no one would take responsibility for it, and they both claimed it was "out of their hands", telling me to call the cops and fraud dept. After all was said and done, I was never reimbursed from ANYONE. The buyer kept the item, I was never paid...period. And everyone I contacted for help simply gave me the run-around - even after making me call around, fill out forms, etc. NOTHING WAS RESOLVED!

This is DISGUSTING! I had an experience with PayPal once, where a buyer on EBAY bought a gold necklace from me for about $100. The buyer paid via PayPal and immediately messaged me asking when I was going to ship. I wrote back, shipped the item, and confirmed shipment. No sooner did I confirm shipment, when the buyer reversed the PayPal transaction. No reasons were given - it was simply REVERSED! I had no way to stop this or protect myself.

i just had the same thing happen to me from my car and the guy reversed half the payment and paypal says they are not responsible and that i have to paypal back the money because i transferred the money to my bank account before letting the title go to the buyer. the buyer reversed the payment almost 45 days later which is the last time you can reverse the payment. now i have to have my lawyer go after the guy and called the police for grand theft auto!

I was hearing your video further and heard that they refunded the buyer but it was not with your money. They refunded the buyer with their money assuming you would have the money in your paypal account but you had already spent it so they have your amp and want their money. That makes sense had he not done the paint job but watch out when sending items international with no tracking cause its to expensive and the buyer says they never got it and pay pal refunds them no matter what you say.

ebay and paypal are a scam. Ebay is now making profit on shipping fees sellers charge. That is straight up fraud but since they call it their policy you are at their mercy if you use their website. Paypal is an ebay company and they charge you a percent to receive your money even after ebay already charged you seller fees and a percent of the sale.

I know this happened 5 years ago but in future if any more Debt Collectors harass you write them a letter saying you would take legal action if they keep phoning you and ask them for a hand signed contract(cos you have no contract with them so you dont owe them any money)

@huge2na I'm sorry to hear about your story man, how that dude's credit card company let him get his money back is beyond me, because why would they do a charge back if he's wrong.. think about it, if it were that easy to buy stuff on your credit card and just call up Chase or whatever company and tell them hey the item was "defective" and you get your money and keep the item then everyone would do it. But i am so done with Paypal, wanna hear my story? They limited my account for no reason.

@huge2na Hey man just wondering- Someone sent me a payment of 75 dollars, and i spent 30 of it. So I transfered the rest of the money to my bank account(44 dollars), then their payment got reversed , and im negative 33 dollars......So i refund the payment and dont send out my item, so now My balance is 44 dollars.........wtf is paypal doing? They reversed the money i tried sending to my bank account...but im wondering what happened to the 30 dollars i spent. I know its confusing...but wtf?

What this guy is saying is complete truth, but actually paypal is worse then that, he fails to mention that ebay and paypal are in bed together, ebay only allows paypal to be used as the payment method.
Most people are honest, but the crooket ones make a career of fraud, I know a case of a buyer that files charges backs, to different sellers all the time, and then changes his id and continues filing chargebacks, paypal or ebay do nothing to stop this crook, they take the sellers money.

Someone needs to ask PayPal what they do with the interest earned on FROZEN ACCOUNTS that are eventually returned 180 days later....and that's only after you have to call them. After freezing 6800 from my account the same day EBAY gave me a power seller certificate for 100% feedback....PayPal froze my funds for "excessive" activity. 6 months later no apology...NO INTEREST. Frozen accounts are BIG BIZ FOR PAY PAL..THEY EARN THE INTEREST...AND GIVE U NOTHING EVEN WHEN EXONERATED. IRS please!

sry bub. i feel .. shiet that sucks. most of my items are less than 100 bucks . I got a few items more than 150 and that's it... sooo....yeah... but it's still scary to here that kind of issue. tho. paypal covers 200 ... oh really. over all these hate videos about ebay/paypal you made a point. but hate to say but ebay/paypal is good for some and not good for some like you.

Paypal froze my account and said they were conducting a review and monitoring for Money Laundering after I sold a mere $4,500 worth of gold and silver coins from my family collection. They run their company like Hitler. They can freeze your assets and take money from your account. I think the Attorney General need to conduct a review of them.

Scamming on paypal is actually not hard at at. When you purchase an item, dispute it. After about a week, file it to a claim. Make sure the item is already shipped. So now, you get your money AND the item. HAPPY SCAMMING! :)

OMFG! how are we going to ever stop these crooks from scamming so many people? I just got my money frozen and no dispute was opened against me, all of a sudden they require more information and won't even tell me what it is. Strange!
Then I call and they litterly say "we don't know why it happened either, MAYBE try putting the shipping # and wait 60 days or some crap like that" these idiots act like they have zero control of what magically happens to your account.

ive sold and bought, and i have never won... Oh and did i mention that i have sellers protection? And these people opening the cases are NON-US.

I COMPLETELY agree with you! 100%! I've never been through this before as a seller which I am grateful for, but I'm sure many of you have just because some crook says "Oh, i didn't recieve the item," and thinks that it is not stealing! Well it is! Just because you didn't smash open any windows and physically run away with the item, doesn't mean it isn't stealing! I wish people were more informed of this problem so sellers get far more protection!

Its the bank that issues chargeback no matter who you go thru they cant stop it just try to help you fight it.. so if any seller wants to cut down there risk stop taking paypal/credit/debit cards start taking money order/cashiers check and use sig confirmation on items over $250 and delivery confirmation on items under and then all you got to worry about is ebay item not as described claims and but atleast that will eliminate the chances of a chargeback or item not received claim.

I'm not accepting the pending paypal transaction nor am i sending the laptop off. no money changed hands so it should be ok. even if i sent the guy a box of bricks i would still get charged back the $280

Paypal just ruled in favor of the seller who sold me a Mary Frances Purse reeking of cigarette smoke and beads missing. I always ask questions before I purchase and I asked if there were any problems with stains, and beading missing, was told it was in excellent condition. . Paypal s.....ks!!!!!

Paypal/Ebay is a scam. They removed hundreds of dollars from my checking account, said they had no record of it. My bank traced it to their Wells Fargo in Singapore and Paypal would not investigate it, even with a ACH trace number. They kept my money. You cannot talk to anyone who makes decisions, only tier 1 in India who could see the transaction but did not have the "tools" to do anything about it. Once it got "escalated" to morons who have not graduated 3rd grade, no one could see the trans.

Ebay feeds & nurtures a culture of fraud by rewarding false "item not received" claimers w automated refunds. Ebay routinely ignores standard proof of shipping including postal receipt photos & ignores reputable members testimony even a 13 yr 20,000+ item Ebay history. DOJ should end this despicable procedure. I lose approx 10% of my Paypal payments to this sort of claims fraud. Ebay is treacherous & often unrewarding. Paypal is required, traditional, much safer forms of payment are forbidden.

Hey...I just got screwed the other way...I paid $760 for an item...the seller "said" they sent it via Registerd Post (this in in Australia)...it never got delivered and there was NO evidence of this item in the Aust Post system...the seller had a "copy" of a stamped acknowledgement slip...now I'm not saying he didn't mail it...i'm saying i never got it. Paypal Australia...(those arseholes) said proof of postage is = proof of delivery. WFT...there's a good scam! F*CK U PayPal

A class action lawsuit is already in the works. Check out the law firm website of Freed and Weiss LLC out of Chicago. They've started a class action suit and have several former ebay sellers already named who've had problems with the 180 day phony holds. I suggest anyone who had issues with paypal contact them and try to get in on the suit.

You want to know how to defeat PayPal? Get a Merchant Account so you can collect CC payments, just like any store. Using a Merchant Account, the money gets transferred to the safety of your bank account....not into PayPal's Nazi Fourth Reich control and coffers. If anyone wants info on the best Merchant Accounts, let me know. I have researched about 100 hours finding the BEST one for my businesses, plus I get $100 for referring you after your second successful transaction.
