the truth is here France kicked up a fuss because they hoped to sell there Rafales for cheap Oil just like they were doing with there good mate Saddam Hussein before the 2003 war .

The Saudis chose BAE in 1985 because BAE products have always been and will always be superior to French fighters like the Dassault Mirage.

If everyone else is doing it, then right and wrong become irrelevant and you simply do what others do just to stay in line with your competitors. You can't stay in business if you cling to your moral values and others don't. You're putting yourself at a serious disadvantage.
