It says "BMI can vary a lot in young people so don't read too much into it" when you make a profile for a younger person on Wii Fit and you test their BMI.

It is fine for a kid to be called "fat" if they are really fat. Honesty is important. High BMI doesn't make you fat. Those who have more muscle will be considered "fat" by WiiFit sine it only calculates this by BMI as the instruction book says.

WiiFit certainly DOES help kids and aduilts alike to get off the coach that wouldn't normally do so.

There is stigma on girls and women being fat, but there are better ways to determine this and like many things in life, parents should be an active role
