This ad came on TV just now, and reminded me of the year and a bit I spent in Australia, sitting home alone while everyone else was at work, watching The Morning Show on 7, changing the channel over when Danoz Direct ads came on, while eating vegemite on toast and drinking Robert Timms (eeuuughh) coffee, brewed with a tea-bag (Not all coffee was like this, I swear!)

Aand, in case any Aussies being shown this are around, I love your country, despite the only thing to do was to walk to Coles haha

This is an ICONIC example of how marketing can be botched. Do you really expect the majority of Americans to know what a "laurie" is?

This commercial went in with the premise that American's buy stuff as long as it's sold by an Australian accent.
