I have a question regarding audacity, I downloaded the software and some-how I lost the meter toollbar used for monitoring the input and output audio levels, how do I bring it back. I click the view buttom and clicked the float meter toollbar, but that would bring it back to the upper right corner of the program, what should I do?

I used to use this in college and it worked fine. But once i got it on my home computer (winXP Pro) it would show '?????' for nearly all text in the program. Anyone else have this problem and know a fix?

Mine doesnt have an 'audacity menu' either. You have a PC right? The tutorial person has a Mac. (there's an apple in the corner by her audacity menu)

I use this to mostly record songs. And I mispronounce Audacity as (AU-duh-city) not (au-DA-city).

He doesn't need a file converter. He just downloads the LAME MP3 Encoder from the Audacity website. Download it, and when you go to export it, find the encoder.
