Everybody's arguing about Kris, but I just wanna know... why wasn't he at Farm Aid? Maybe it was just off-tour and he had to be somewhere making a movie or something. Kris is a busy guy and Glenn is a worthy temporary Highwayman. I see no need for the rancor. But I'm curious if anybody knows what Kris was doing that would keep him away from Farm Aid. Usually he's the first dude to get into a benefit.

@Michaeldean88 , Hey my friend. I like Kris, but I don't think it is even close, Glen is a much better singer and a far better musician and entertainer. When I first saw the Highwaymen, i was least familiar with Waylan. Almost immediately, he became my second favorite (next to John). I always felt Kris was the weak link. If the line-up had included Glen, wow! I think John and Waylan dominated because they are so outgoing. Willie is a quiet reserved guy. Kris was the fourth fiddle.

@MrEasyLife You should watch their show at Nassau in 1990 which I unluckily only know from the dvd and you would be embarrassed by saying these things about Kris, who propably was the one of the Highwaymen who was closest to Johnny and highly appreciated by him. It's a shame to hear people speak like you do. There was a reason that the four real Highwaymen were singing together and as I read it was Kris's idea to do so. Btw, it's Waylon, not Waylan... I love Johnny for his loyalty...

@MrEasyLife Yeah, man, i have a feeling that Johnny got the biggest cheers while ol' Waylon was the second. Then again, in the other performance i saw on youtube, Willie got bigger cheers than Kris which was quite annoying, i believe. In my opinion, Waylon is the greatest.
