He was working 50+ hours a week as a doctor at the time, and he has already publicly apologized for not paying more attention to what was written, even though you can't really blame him when dozens of different people were writing for that newsletter, and over several decades, he didn't know what 2% of them said.

One sentence in the news letters doesn't square with Ron Paul as the writer given Ron Paul's history. The writer says that anyone who has been mugged can atest to how fleet footed young black men can be. The writer thinks that black men as a group are faster than him. Ron Paul won the Pennsylvania state championship in the 220 and he had a 9.7 second 100 in high school at a time when the national record was 9.4. That means that Ron Paul would be faster than almost any black man he would meet.

Paul knew the aid would be dispersed ineffectively which it did. It would have been the most effective, if these funds were given to local communities, city and state governments. Do a search on YouTube and see how FEMA operated after Katrina. Less class warfare = 2012 presidential candidate, Ron Paul, says he doesn't believe cutting entitlements to the poor is the way to balance the budget. He has GREATER ideas. Check him out! I love how Ron Paul doesn't pit groups against one another. VOTE RON PAUL 2012! I almost fainted last night when Bill OReilly said that Paul's idea of ending FEMA had merit (since FOX tends to ignore Paul).

@Bouchon211 I voted Obama too... it's funny how the Obamites cling to this Ron Paul racism thing when Obama stood accused of the same thing. Even if Ron Paul was ever racist I have to say I considered the same thing about Obama when voting for Obama, and my evaluation is that racism is a condition cured by wisdom and humanity. So something that someone might have said 40-30 years ago, that person probably grew up and adapted a new way of thinking, tho I still doubt Dr Paul actually wrote this.

@Bouchon211 Paul scores 25% of the vote amongst non-whites, whereas Romney polls at 20% and Gingrich gets 15%. (recent CNN poll)
Ron Paul is clearly the most popular GOP contender amongst non-whites out of the entire field, suggesting that the “racist” smear, which was heavily pushed back in 2008, has had very little impact whatsoever on the views of those who presumably would be the most likely to be offended by it.

To even discuss this topic is just ridiculous. Ron Paul represents values which became rare. This movement needs the especially voices of minorities to fight their propaganda at the roots. Thanks for sharing !

The funny thing about allowing a sign that says "NO BLACKS" to be posted at a business is that we no longer need to wonder about how big a moron and a racist that the store owner is. In fact the positive is that we know we wont be giving our money to him, and before too long he will have nothing but his racism to keep him warm at night. Given this CRITICAL THINKING skill you have just observed... MAYBE now some of you will see just where Ron Paul is coming from, and that hes NOT a racist.

Look at the war on drugs: Obama has continued the same failed prohibitionist policies as his predecessors, maintaining a status quo that has placed 2.3 million – or one in 100 – Americans behind bars, the vast majority African-American and Hispanic. Paul, on the other hand, has called for ending the drug war and said he would pardon non-violent offenders, which would be the single greatest reform a president could make in the domestic sphere, equivalent in magnitude to ending Jim Crow.

Ron Paul is being supported by David Duke people. I hope you seriously do not consider this man as president. David Duke is a well known member of the Knights of Ku Klux Klan. People do not do it if your Black seriously.
