Ok I will admit David Yates is an amazing director but I don't quite like the way he is keeping faithful to the book, I'd rather prefer the directors that did 1-4 better. Just my opinion.
Well, I am looking forward to the battle after all! I thought it might be dumm but now I believe in it! - although the crowd running through the forest looks stupid..
for the life of me i cannot fiqure out what scene in the book is when hermione puts her hands up in the trailer and when harry's lying on the ground in the long coat
@wizardgirl13 It's right after they escape from the Ministry of Magic and now they're in the forest. Hermione is probably putting up her numerous protective spells around them.
@wizardgirl13 I think it could possibly be when they escape from Godrics Hollow. It probably isnt when they escape from the ministry because Ron isnt there.
Well, the basics for warner bros with this one was, "Let's carry it on as long as humanly possible and keep the audience which have grown up on the edge for 7 more months".
Seriously, just end the damn thing already, I was 11 when I started watching, by the time part 2 is released I'll be 21.
It wasn't warner bros' decision, it was the director's. he thought that 2 hours wasn't long enough to tell the whole story, and he's right. usually the movies cut out the side plots, but that's not possible with the deathly hallows. hey, I'm just happy I'm getting 4 hours of harry potter instead of 2!
@roeas29 - Look, I've always said release the movies in 2 parts from HP4, but I never wanted them to drag on for months.
This in my point of view, is a way for WB to make more money out of a multi-billion movie series of which people have known the ending of the book for 3 years.
Look at resident evil afterlife, they wrote the script in december, finished shooting in march, and now they're releasing earlier than expected, because they know what the fans want.
By the time the final part comes along, the fans would have grown up too much to be bothered to go see it, sure it's great, but it's still a far more
S T R E T C H E D series than it should be.
Look at lord of the rings, they made 10 hours of film from 3 books over the course of 3 years and the writer of the book was dead when they started filming so they had to think up a new script.
If they could finish it in 3 years, then why couldn't WB finish it in 7 years
@cybersunday07 I disagree when you say that the fans have grown up too much. Harry Potter came out when I was 10 years old. I'm now 23 and still a die hard fan of the books, the movies and even the occasional fanfiction. You're never too old for something you love.
@cybersunday07 it sucks waiting but a true fan of hp would want it done right and if that means it takes a while to come out then thats fine, and lord of the rings was only 3 movies, so signing over your life for 3 straight years isnt as bad as signing away 7/8 straight years for hp, and since it is finally coming to a end im happy it will be in 2 parts, just means we as fans get more harry potter, i'd much rather that than have them squeeze everything in like they did in some of the other films
I can understand you thinking that, but it was almost certainly the director's choice (he said so himself), and whether or not it's a money grab, it WILL benefit the story greatly. sure, they'll get more money of it, but in the end it'll be a better film, and that's all I care about.
Yeah really hoping there is going to be a decent enough amount of info in these last 2 movies. Especially the princes tale chapter where u find out the plot twist about snape, if they skip that scene out then they will ruin the entire film, it will be pointless.
Potter fans can only pray the director hasnt fucked up the plot lines on this film.
@jessyuppal2 LIKE wht do u mean alot happens in deathly hallows? tell!!!! idc if u ruin the movie i juss cant wait 2 watch it and im definetly dont wnt 2 read the boook
@DracoSlashHarry The fire just started. They will use brooms(even Emma). I remember there was sneak peak during Showest 2010 and they said they saw Emma on a broom escaping a giant fire creature.
