I remember I could play this game for hours without doing anything but listen to the music. Who cares about gameplay with a soundtrack like this!! (by the way is HOMM4 much harder than HOMM3, maybe that's why the majority prefer HOMM3...)

Nature and Necromancy are the best Teamates. They work so well. Fire, air, earth, and water elementals are good for your head on attacks. Ferie Dragons give good support, wolves and lepricons give some extra dmg to opponents, bone dragons just pwn, the venom spawn supply good fire, and Devils take care of the rest (^_^)

Heroes V IS just a 3D Heroes III... I don't know why, but I was always drawn to the fourth game. But both, HOMM III and IV just have that magic that makes you want to return to it and play again. Hell, I think I'll install IV again and just go around on the easiest mode to feel that magic again.

I think what is undeniable is that the IV had a better play list. And i really liked its mechanics, in the 3rd we had to move units between heroes all the time, in the 4th thy simplified that. But the resurrection potions made the 4th too easy. What i agree is that the 3rd have a better plot, a big one, which was complex and cool. The 4th was only an amount of little stories telling the 3rd afterwards.

cuz my first experience with HoMM-series, barring a computer screen in a store, was the third game; Rampart was simply gorgeous. The fourth iteration felt sloppy and rushed and graphics felt plastic compared to its predecessor and some features felt like the devs had played Age of Wonders with a notepad and noted down the things they liked and didn't like.

Mate I always enjoyed Heroes 4 for the fact it makes you think tactically about choosing which buildings you will take due to restrictions, and also the way Heroes actually take part in the fight instead of standing there watching and laughing. It's quite fun watching your level 30 hero kill 3 devils in one hit.
