i know it's been a while since you made this comment but i still wanna make things clear.

i'm not an expert but i know horses and camels are not the same, this one is taught to dance, only possible abuse might have occured when it was taught, not in the movie. i know about the director he wouldn't let any animal suffer even for his movie

the camel actually dances with the shaman's rhythm and chanting. check the 08:20-8:40 of this if you like
