'alone on my expensive yacht' - the mere fact that Gallacher in late 30's couldn't come to terms with the vision of Weller at 20 shows the massive gulf in talent, vision and intellect - I reckon Weller lets him hang about like good looking girls do with fat pals - makes them look even better.

no way! the jam version is much better! noel gallagher doesn't really get the message of the song across! his vocals sound dreary and drag on at times, at other times he sings softly. in the jam's version we hear the anger of the disillusionment of fame over a well-balanced sound ranging from the early dreamy sounds/vocals to the raw wailing guitar snaps leading up to the third verse acompanied by wellers fierce stabbing vocals which gets the point across perfectly!
