  • I think I still have a VHS copy of this video that I taped off MuchMusic somewhere. When I get a video card with video-in, I'll get it on my computer and upload it.

  • no resolution!

  • Short but sweet...very sweet!

  • i stillwanna kiss u toomr.gendge

  • I presume dalliance is missing?

  • seamonsters is a crackin album, made my summerback in '91 that!

  • Seamonsters is probably my favouritist album ever, i still listen to it frequently.

But they missed out some tracks on the original. The newer extra tracks version is even better if ye can actually improve this amazing album.

    Dave Gedge is flippin ace.

I know what ye mean about summer 91.

  • Oh where have the great indie bands gone??

  • there is hope: the airborne toxic event. check it

  • THE most overlooked album from the most underrated band ever.

  • this song in full is heartstopping, its about the marriage(ha) of the rancid jilly cooper and her equally rancid hubby Leo.rip

  • What do you mean? I have always been curious about the basis for this song. From my understanding the writer and her husband behaved despicably toward the mistress. What is/was the background to the story.

  • ok it goes summat like this........... the horrid leo is married to the talentless jilly.

leo has an affair with an equally revolting piece of shit, the press find out and ask jilly what she thinks and her reply was "its just a dalliance"hence the heartbeaking line "throw your presents straight away, cos i cud never take them home"

  • Oh come on man!!....the whole vid please.....i had this on 7 inch vinyl, the first of 12 they released consecutively for a year...my fave Wedding Present song....why only upload less than half of it???

  • Your memory deceives you, this song dates from 1991 and wasn't one of the '12 in a year' - that was 1992, the first one being Blue Eyes. Incidentally, I don't know of anyone who's seen this video in it's entirety.

  • Well not really,it was on Seamonsters....it was a long time ago....fuck it,i had the 7 inch anyway.

  • The 12 inch version of this had Daliance, Niagara, She's My Best Friend And What Have I Said Now.

I played that till the groves wore off.

  • eh that wasnt one of the 12 7". One was the name of the first one. cracxking song though and best band ever seamonsters best record ever

  • @jaydischord

This one was released in mid 1991 around the time of the "Seamonsters" tour. The first of the 12 monthly releases was "Blue Eyes". What a great couple of years 91 and 92 were.

  • Fabulous song, reminds me of angst ridden teen years, please upload the whole vid.... pretty please? After all these years ' how much i miss you'....

  • Please upload the entire video. This is my favorite Wedding Present song.

  • See it live! Nearly busted my thorax! also I was in a band that supported them in galway. I think they stole our guitars.

  • I guess thats what you call a dalliance

  • Please upload the entire video. This is my favorite Wedding Present song.
