So the two outer pipes are welded on I assume the don't connect to the exhaust system , I didn't see any smoke comming from them..they look really nice though

Not having a muffler is not illegal. My srt4 comes with no muffler from the factory and passes emissions tests. What a stupid thing to say. Even if it doesn't pass, it ALWAYS depends on the state the car is REGISTERED to for those laws. California is just a worthless state to have an auto hobby in. In SC, there are NO laws about modifications except drag slicks.

It's DEFINITELY NOT ILLEGAL to not have a muffler. Neon SRT-4s came from the factory without mufflers.

@brentonwsnyder umm on some cars the catilytic converter doubles as a muffler.... and yes there is a decibel limit for cars in the US I got plenty of tickets in high school to prove it.

1. The SRT-4 does have mufflers from the factory (2 straight-thru type resonators). I own one....also..

2. Smoke in the exhaust can mean a world of things... But my beliefs are on this car it has to do with maybe chopped catalytic convertors, a CAI, and high-output objectors or any combination thereof...

3. You can make a V6 sound convincingly like a V8.. also a Crossfire will fit a MB V8... been there, done that.

And trying to capture exhaust sound on a camcorder SUCKS..

I own a crossfire my self and i whent with a magnaflow exaust from the cat back the X-fire in this video sounds like crap and dont look good no ofence but its what u think. check out my X-fire. just punch in farmington nm raceing and look for baalorfall44s videos and im raceing a new SS cobalt TC lissin to that S@%t!

Not good.... I dont know if you got any knowledge about engine, but BLUE SMOKE is NEVER good, unless its a non catalytic converter, but then it wouldnt be so much smoke as your car..... Get it checked at the nearest Mercedes-Dealer.

its not illegal to have no mufflers. It is illegal to have no catalytic converter. The Neon SRT-4 comes from the factory without a muffler.

@burninpyro22 I'm not so sure you have to have a muffler, it just depends on noise levels and where you live. If it's so loud without a muffler that some cop decides to ticket you, there isn't much you can do about it. It is, however, illegal to run without a catalytic converter if the car came with one.
