  • The FAIL is strong with you.

  • Morons.

  • as soon as you noticed it was not right why didn't you shut it down and start looking for an issue...

  • @brocknchrist YEAH

  • unless you took like a 6 hour lunch the water didnt freeze

  • FSAE!

  • how the fuck does your 150+ degree water free? do you mean over heater a blow the radiator cap off.

  • "During our dyno test day, we go to lunch. One hour. When we came back, the water-only coolant freezed."

Where the hell is your workshop? The Antarctic circle?

  • lol mabey they work in a cryogenic chamber.

  • LOL

  • never mind wether it was freezed ,frozeded, frozzen or any other word for seized, with that much movement in the rear hubs/bearings/shafts it wont stay on the track long enough to find out about motor problems!! ha ha ha

  • If your mechanical ability is equal to your spelling and grammar, then I don't doubt that there was a serious malfunction.

  • Lol, sounds kinda cool.

  • when freezed(!) they normally grip the piston so it jamms.

If it does work u will overheat cylinder locally.

  • when the water freezes it it freexes the water pump not ur pistons

  • That to!

From experience with cars when a water pump jams the fan belt screams, when the water freezes it locks up pistons because it expands in cooling jackets and acts against cylinders, gripping pistons...honestly, I had it happen with an A series engine, even after removing fan belt it was still jammed/ very hard to turn!

I agree that water pump will also be jammed though.

  • wont it also split the rad hoses and stuff?

  • Maybe, although they will be more flexible than metal!

  • Your overflow valve didn't work then.

  • overflow valve wont stop a solid from gripping pistons and block.

  • When water freezes, it expands. Half frozen water will go out the overflow valve because it is expanded.

  • maybe a little but what of the rest in engine?

I just know that I have experienced gripped pistons before when frozen and it wasnt water pump because same engines have had seized pumps before and belt just slips, engine in question was BL A-series.

  • Must refresh irregular verbs declination: Freeze/Froze/Frozen :-D

  • lol i dont think freezed is a word lol

    was the engine ok??

you prbably destroyed the water pump

  • I think "freezed" is in the George "Dubya" Bush Dictionary... along with strategery.
