  • Does it drain battery more when it's rooted? Thanks in advance for the reply!

  • do you need an sd card ?

  • @poumart2 It has like 1.3GB of internal, and it only supports micro SD if you want to expand. So you dont need it unless you have some heavy pdfs. I have several of 100mb so I cant fit my whole collection.

  • Can you link me where you got your pandora.apk please? The link on the wiki is seemingly broken. Also, have you had any luck getting a clock widget to work? Or any kind of clock

  • with the kindle app can you read books bought in the kindle store? thx

  • @lebravo11 Of course! That's what the Kindle app does. :)

  • did sony fixe the freezing bug, looking to buy any suggestions

  • can you download games like tic-tac-toe or like demos of games? and can you have a home screen like a iphone with settings and other stuff on the home page?

  • Do you know if rooting the PRS-T1 interferes with the Sony eBook software? I use that to coordinate my collection between the reader and my PC.

  • What is the android OS version?

  • @zhuwengang It says when he goes into the settings. It's Android 2.2.1

  • noob

  • so with an app like skitch with Evernote is it possible to use that as a notepad to take notes?

  • 4:04 video not found

    FFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU

  • Video would be better if you showed the entire unit, including the buttons you're pushing for various actions. The rest is good though.

  • what does it mean to root the reader? or any device for that matter. how how did you get to that android page? I clicked the option button and nothing happens

  • @bethoughless The Sony PRS-T1 uses a restricted version of the Android Operating System. That means it can run the ordinary version also, so somebody prepared a "hacked" firmware update to replace the "restricted" version with the normal version. Installing this version is called "rooting" because you become (in a way) "root" (superuser, user with full access) of the device.

  • This looks awesome!

Do I loose my warranty if i root my PRS-T1??

  • @PunkBusterize I think there's a way to reset it back to factory settings, if you need to send it to your vendor for a replacement.
