For the Colorless Soul, I found it easier to start near the ladder and then land on the crossing "X" support beams. Just take a little step and you should land right in the middle of the crossing wooden support beams. It'll probably be easier than landing on the on esupport beam you went for.
@keelsmasher123 You need Pure White World Tendency; the gate on the left opens right at the start of the level and you'll find both Miralda and the Colourless Demon Soul there.
I personally found this boss easier than Phalanx... and Phalanx was first try easy. I got her on my second try, when she swings her mac thing strait down, dodge to the left, then havy attack. Rinse and repeat. She'll be done in no time. :) Good luck!

@cutiepe2ce Well you have to get a white soul tendency to unlock where she is. And no, you cant sadly, you can store them to the guy in the nexus. My SL is like 38-42.... I forget... and I will add you. BTW I got white soul tendency by killing tower knight..... I hated that.

@leaf16nut Ahahahaaha, theres a reason why it was and still is considered one of the hardest games to play. White and black soul tendency is that of your character, if you kill an innocent person your soul tendency will go to black where as if you kill a bad person it goes white and so on, world tendency is determined again by both white and black. except in order to change these you have to either kill the boss of your current stage or be killed by the boss of your current stage, good luck. :P

An interesting fact about Miralda. and you can do this even when your level 1 (have to beat vangaurd and phalanx first) if you have no equip burden(no slow) at all. you can actually run past Miralda and start climbing down the ladder. she will actually run off the edge to try to get to you and die. you get souls, and can get items if you die. they spawn at her spawn point. ^.^
So there I was, just killed 1-2 boss and I thought I'd come back to 1-1 for some farming in human form. Found that the gate was unlocked, awesome! Loots everywhere =O unguarded? (lol yeh ok) Some black phantom things spawned on me. Still good, I go further up and see a bloodstain next to the building entrance (Thought it might have been the Black Phantoms that got him). I walked into the building... Bitch NOOOOO, I'm back in soul form =). End of story.

@Stalkrr1989 Just buy lots of arrows (like 150-200) and kill the dragon from the bridge with a bow. That worked pretty well for me to turn the world to pure white...
@Clavsicus jup all of em :) of course if you want pure magic it is logical that you start of with a mage or a royal :) but everyone I repeat everyone can do everything in this game :) just depending on the stats you evolve and your imagination :)

hey all. can somebody please explain to me house one can change world tendency? i know they regulate difficulty but do they regulate things like certain areas to be available or not .... i've checked my icons in start menu and its always been pure white, never neutral or black etc

@goldsut pretty much you have to not die in world 1 beat all the bosses and black phantoms like ostrave in 1-4 and make sure you dont die or kill human characters like ostrava
@mexicanasianwhitboy you only have to defeat phalanx if you dont die in body form before him it opened for me and once you open it (i think you need to kill the black phantoms or miralda for this to work but maybe not) it stays open for the rest of the playthrough regardless of tendency
Thanks; this must have triggered something because I stopped dying (lost 30k souls my first 3 times, and a few hundred the half a dozen times after that) and picked up the soul. Grrr.

No dragons at their usual resting place
World 1-1 Pure Black : You will fight Executioner Miralda (Black Phantom form) and get Guillotine Axe as a drop. Inside her building, there will be a Colorless Demon's Soul on the plank, there are also Brushwood set items at the bottom.
oh and pure black enemies drop more items are are much more harder xD
You can get pure white tendency, which is easy just beat the first boss in the beginning, and before doing anything go back in the nexus, then go back to 1-1 as fast as u can, and you can go in here at lvl 1. Then you can get pure black and get her axe.
@xatublast, It is very hard to tell exactly, but if you pause the game, and go to the part of the menu that looks like a stone, it will show 5 stones and show their general brightness. Basically it's just if the stone is bright, you have whiter world tendancy, and vice versa for black.
upper right circle on your screen will have a white or black color 5 straight suicides in body form will make it pure black when you reenter the stage and 5 straight bosses without dying make it pure white. may vary 4 to 5 that ones a bit more complicated :S
wtf..... i got pure white there and i also killed the blue dragon and false king in one run and got pure white and got message saying i get soul boost in this same run but..... the door is still locked -_-
@ratchet606 then let yourself die in body form over and over until you get pure black and go in that way. You get miralda's axe rather than equipment but you can still get the colorless soul.
you can kill bp that invade your game, kill a boss when you in your body, and a blue p with you things like that. Kinda sucks though most bp that invade my game are on there 2 or 3 playthrough and i usually get raped ; ;
@relentingmite I KNOW, I see someone invade my game and they kill me in like 2 hits, it's fucked up. There's nothing I can do but just hurry up and die so I can keep going. I really hate that shit.
@Byjum you can play in offline mode if you arent ready to fight other players, just go to PS3 settings and turn interenet connection off. the game will automatically load up in offline.
@relentingmite remember there is a level cap between players that invade you. So there is no advantages to people who invade you. the game allows people from a 10 SL radius to invade you. EXample: if your SL 60 people from 50-70 can only invade you correct me if im wrong. but that is how it usually works.
PS. SL 120 is basic for PvP'ers it is confirmed that this SL is the most player pvp's
@sudeki009 i have found that to be correct, since i hit the 130 mark i get invaded all the time in one lv i was invaded 16 times withing the span of an hour so i belive your correct.

i just bought the game last sunday and they had just started the valentines WT event and i fought this miralda and beat her on both a SL 6 soldier and SL 1 royal, but i messed up like 5 different characters and had to keep making new games because i didnt know what the WT was and kept messing up my game by doing things like overburdening myself and dropping the brushwood armor or losing the purple flame shield. I took to long with this and ended up getting flame shield on a royal without WWT.

so i was starting a new character and at slvl 6 or w/e a soldier starts at i managed to kill miralda, then i grabbed the colorless demons souls, and i fell down to where brushwood is and died, but when i got back to grab the armor my blood stain and souls were gone. anyone else have this happen
a good way to land on the beam is to just keep walking forward. since you walk in a straight line, you will always fall directly over it, but do it slowly
@Cryptically You just need to kill demons (bosses). You can also help other people (as a blue phantom) to defeat their bosses and it'll give you a bit of white.
Just try not to die in body form. If you want to safely return to body form without having the tendency going to black just suicide on the Nexus, that way if you die it won't change your WT.
helping others in blue phantom form no longer helps your tendency to go white since patch. i killed the flamelurker boss about 4 times as a blueman but nothing happened.
@Cryptically Yup. It might take long but it's possible. If you get invaded while being a Blue Phantom killing him also helps you to get White World and Character tendency. So help a lot and kill Black Phantoms
if you are dark, then please get to pure dark, that way , black phantom NPC and primal demon will be available in that world, kill them to get back to pure white tendency
cling ring and a decent vitality. honestly in demon souls the concept of needing health is unrealistic. i haven't touched my vitality status and im in soul form always. this game IS easy if you are PATIENT. my brother isnt so he would often use all his stamina then wonder why the roll button was broke -.-
The health determines your amount of tries, saying that a game doesn't need health is a way of saying to newcomers "finish this game in one clear" which is unrealistic aswell.
Like in Megaman, with some practice you can finish the game without dying once
I have defeated every boss in Boletaria in physical form too, I dont understand why I dont understand what pure white tendency is and I dont know why I dont have it.
Sorry I should have been more explicit, when you kill a boss, it doesnt change the world directly to pure white, it goes up by a certain level like +1 or +2
You have to do good deeds (i read some good deeds like saving Ostrava gives you +0.5)
But sometimes the game servers in N. America sets to pure white (december snow) and pure black (halloween), keep an eye out for that on the forums. That may help if you cant get the world back to white
@Fleur114, A colorless demon soul is a special limited soul that you can use to upgrade weapons in the game. (You get them from finding them & killing/farming Primeval demons)
@Chickletneyra, You need to kill main demons (bosses) and arch demons to achieve pure white world tendencies. You also should avoid dying in body form while in worlds (that pushes your WT towards black)
idk how i got there...but i got there the first time i started a new character...i was doing only 15 damage to her each hit =( luckily no death and i killed her :D she creeps me out though
@monktryface, You can get to this area by having Pure White World Tendency for Boletarian Palace. After getting it to Pure White that gate at the beginning of the level on the left opens up and this area is open.
You can also open up this area with Pure Black World Tendency.
Once the door is open it remains open, regardless of the World Tendency being changed.

No that shouldnt reset your tendency. What I did to get pure white is I defeated every boss in World 1. The door was closed before I went to fight Old King Allant (I killed all the other bosses and both dragons before hand). After I killed Allant the door was open and I was pure white. For most of the worlds defeating all the bosses will give you pure white while dying in human form a lot or killing friendly NPCs will give you black. Hope that helps
I think it might go down if you die in human form. If you die in soul form I dont think your tendency is affected. I died a few times in World 1 and I still managed to get pure white so I think you may be fine.
lol i beat miralda at soul level 6 if i had a video i would show it :/ it took me like 8min to kill her but when i did i was suprised that i killed her at that soul level it was on one of my alts so i was more experienced then a normal lv 6 but still she could take off more then half my health each hit XD
think you have to kill the dragon and the tower knight. Perhaps the blob boss as well? I dunno. You gotta do a lot of crap it seems to sway the world into pure black and pure white tendencies. Kind of annoying imo. I killed myself in body form 7 times to get pure black tendency. You kill Miralda's black phantom and get her axe.
it makes it more difficult, yes. Which is good! I've beaten the game once already so I think I'm pretty adapted to the difficulty. I only die now from stupid mistakes. Miralda was pretty but she could kill me in 2 hits which was annoying. All she does is run at you so you can hit her and then she jumps away. Just gotta watch your stamina.
Black tendency and you get her axe. White tendency and you get all of her clothes (no axe). Her clothes are for female characters only so if you are a male character I wouldn't bother fighting her in white tendency.
The gate opens when the World Tendency is either Pure White or Pure Black, but it seems to stay open after that regardless of the World Tendency. Miralda will spawn only when the World Tendency is Pure White, however. If you entered the zone while it was at a Pure tendency, and then altered the tendency toward neutral, the gate would remain open, but Miralda would not spawn.
Like a lot of this game, if you're surprised you'll get killed. Once you know what to expect and have a strategy it's much easier. Miralda is actually easy. She has really only 1 attack which you can avoid, and once you hit her she staggers
when I got here she scared the hell out of me and i somehow hit her and she fell down the drop in front of the door you enter.. i just went down the stairs and got her armor and some other cool armor and a really heavy shield. got so lucky

Takes about 3 of those (kill 3 bosses or 2 bosses and 1 black phantom) for you to get Pure White.
You start at neutral. You can go white or black. To get pure you need to do 3 certain things for it to happen. (Of course its easier to go Black then it is White XD )
Do you also use a revival item called *insert hard to spell word here* eye? (It's something that revives you from spirit form)
If you die in body form then the world you die in only moves to black tendency by 1. Also, if you kill all the bosses and black phantoms in one world and you get Pure White BUT then you die, then yeah you lost your Pure White for that world. You can still get to this place through Pure Black though but Miralda will be WAY harder.

upper right circle on your screen will have a white or black color 5 straight suicides in body form will make it pure black when you reenter the stage and 5 straight bosses without dying make it pure white. may vary 4 to 5 that ones a bit more complicated :S

@MrLate1 there is another pole you can fall down to from there and then fall down safely to the platform with the body and climb back up the ladder.

wtf..... i got pure white there and i also killed the blue dragon and false king in one run and got pure white and got message saying i get soul boost in this same run but..... the door is still locked -_-

@ratchet606 then let yourself die in body form over and over until you get pure black and go in that way. You get miralda's axe rather than equipment but you can still get the colorless soul.

you can kill bp that invade your game, kill a boss when you in your body, and a blue p with you things like that. Kinda sucks though most bp that invade my game are on there 2 or 3 playthrough and i usually get raped ; ;

@Byjum you can play in offline mode if you arent ready to fight other players, just go to PS3 settings and turn interenet connection off. the game will automatically load up in offline.

@relentingmite remember there is a level cap between players that invade you. So there is no advantages to people who invade you. the game allows people from a 10 SL radius to invade you. EXample: if your SL 60 people from 50-70 can only invade you correct me if im wrong. but that is how it usually works.
PS. SL 120 is basic for PvP'ers it is confirmed that this SL is the most player pvp's

@sudeki009 i have found that to be correct, since i hit the 130 mark i get invaded all the time in one lv i was invaded 16 times withing the span of an hour so i belive your correct.

i just bought the game last sunday and they had just started the valentines WT event and i fought this miralda and beat her on both a SL 6 soldier and SL 1 royal, but i messed up like 5 different characters and had to keep making new games because i didnt know what the WT was and kept messing up my game by doing things like overburdening myself and dropping the brushwood armor or losing the purple flame shield. I took to long with this and ended up getting flame shield on a royal without WWT.

so i was starting a new character and at slvl 6 or w/e a soldier starts at i managed to kill miralda, then i grabbed the colorless demons souls, and i fell down to where brushwood is and died, but when i got back to grab the armor my blood stain and souls were gone. anyone else have this happen

a good way to land on the beam is to just keep walking forward. since you walk in a straight line, you will always fall directly over it, but do it slowly

@Cryptically You just need to kill demons (bosses). You can also help other people (as a blue phantom) to defeat their bosses and it'll give you a bit of white.
Just try not to die in body form. If you want to safely return to body form without having the tendency going to black just suicide on the Nexus, that way if you die it won't change your WT.

helping others in blue phantom form no longer helps your tendency to go white since patch. i killed the flamelurker boss about 4 times as a blueman but nothing happened.

@Cryptically Yup. It might take long but it's possible. If you get invaded while being a Blue Phantom killing him also helps you to get White World and Character tendency. So help a lot and kill Black Phantoms

if you are dark, then please get to pure dark, that way , black phantom NPC and primal demon will be available in that world, kill them to get back to pure white tendency

cling ring and a decent vitality. honestly in demon souls the concept of needing health is unrealistic. i haven't touched my vitality status and im in soul form always. this game IS easy if you are PATIENT. my brother isnt so he would often use all his stamina then wonder why the roll button was broke -.-

The health determines your amount of tries, saying that a game doesn't need health is a way of saying to newcomers "finish this game in one clear" which is unrealistic aswell.
Like in Megaman, with some practice you can finish the game without dying once

To get pure black, die in body form. Use an epehrmeareal... eye thingy and go to body forma nd die in the level.
To become white, kill a boss in the level, i know when i kileld the old man in 1-4 it became pure white, that is when I went to hunt for miralda.

Sorry I should have been more explicit, when you kill a boss, it doesnt change the world directly to pure white, it goes up by a certain level like +1 or +2
You have to do good deeds (i read some good deeds like saving Ostrava gives you +0.5)
But sometimes the game servers in N. America sets to pure white (december snow) and pure black (halloween), keep an eye out for that on the forums. That may help if you cant get the world back to white

@Fleur114, A colorless demon soul is a special limited soul that you can use to upgrade weapons in the game. (You get them from finding them & killing/farming Primeval demons)

@monktryface, You can get to this area by having Pure White World Tendency for Boletarian Palace. After getting it to Pure White that gate at the beginning of the level on the left opens up and this area is open.
You can also open up this area with Pure Black World Tendency.
Once the door is open it remains open, regardless of the World Tendency being changed.

ok im getting totally pissed, can some1 please please explain this bs unclear world tendency crap, so i beat the game once and not a dam thing changed on my tendancy and i did everything in the game to make it good, now im on my new game + and still nothing! is it true that if u go back to the nexsus it resets ur tendency, so does this mean for me to get pure white i have to stay in boletarian all the way till the last boss so it will be pure white!??!!?! PLEASE HELP

No that shouldnt reset your tendency. What I did to get pure white is I defeated every boss in World 1. The door was closed before I went to fight Old King Allant (I killed all the other bosses and both dragons before hand). After I killed Allant the door was open and I was pure white. For most of the worlds defeating all the bosses will give you pure white while dying in human form a lot or killing friendly NPCs will give you black. Hope that helps

I think it might go down if you die in human form. If you die in soul form I dont think your tendency is affected. I died a few times in World 1 and I still managed to get pure white so I think you may be fine.

there is a wooden beam below you, if you position yourself in the center of the beam you first land on, you can fall straight down onto it.

lol i beat miralda at soul level 6 if i had a video i would show it :/ it took me like 8min to kill her but when i did i was suprised that i killed her at that soul level it was on one of my alts so i was more experienced then a normal lv 6 but still she could take off more then half my health each hit XD

think you have to kill the dragon and the tower knight. Perhaps the blob boss as well? I dunno. You gotta do a lot of crap it seems to sway the world into pure black and pure white tendencies. Kind of annoying imo. I killed myself in body form 7 times to get pure black tendency. You kill Miralda's black phantom and get her axe.

it makes it more difficult, yes. Which is good! I've beaten the game once already so I think I'm pretty adapted to the difficulty. I only die now from stupid mistakes. Miralda was pretty but she could kill me in 2 hits which was annoying. All she does is run at you so you can hit her and then she jumps away. Just gotta watch your stamina.

Black tendency and you get her axe. White tendency and you get all of her clothes (no axe). Her clothes are for female characters only so if you are a male character I wouldn't bother fighting her in white tendency.

The gate opens when the World Tendency is either Pure White or Pure Black, but it seems to stay open after that regardless of the World Tendency. Miralda will spawn only when the World Tendency is Pure White, however. If you entered the zone while it was at a Pure tendency, and then altered the tendency toward neutral, the gate would remain open, but Miralda would not spawn.

Like a lot of this game, if you're surprised you'll get killed. Once you know what to expect and have a strategy it's much easier. Miralda is actually easy. She has really only 1 attack which you can avoid, and once you hit her she staggers

when I got here she scared the hell out of me and i somehow hit her and she fell down the drop in front of the door you enter.. i just went down the stairs and got her armor and some other cool armor and a really heavy shield. got so lucky

1. Don't die in body form
2. Kill Demons (bosses)
3. Kill Named Black Phantoms (aka this is one)
4. Save NPC characters in levels.
Takes about 3 of those (kill 3 bosses or 2 bosses and 1 black phantom) for you to get Pure White.
You start at neutral. You can go white or black. To get pure you need to do 3 certain things for it to happen. (Of course its easier to go Black then it is White XD )

Do you also use a revival item called *insert hard to spell word here* eye? (It's something that revives you from spirit form)
If you die in body form then the world you die in only moves to black tendency by 1. Also, if you kill all the bosses and black phantoms in one world and you get Pure White BUT then you die, then yeah you lost your Pure White for that world. You can still get to this place through Pure Black though but Miralda will be WAY harder.
