This is amazing - what a great invention! Can't believe I haven't heard of this before! Thank you so much for this video, this will help so many women who really want to continue breastfeeding! Your wee boy is super cute btw :)
I understand how hard it is when you're having breastfeeding complications. The nipple shield is what saved us, even though now I'm pretty much stuck using it 24/7. :/ Keep your chin up and your son will someday understand and appreciate all the work you're putting into this. :)
im trying to get back at breastfeeding i had to stop cause I had a surgery :/ and i was wondering how you doing with your relactation journey? is it really posible?
btw nipple shield sucks the design is not good i cant get it so stay there lol
@The290s Try pulling the sides out a little to flip the inside out a bit, pit it around your nipple so it contours to the breast, also try putting some ointment, breast milk or just saliva on it to get it to stick!
Megs... you are doing SO freaking amazing!!! Omg girl, pat yourself on the back for all of the hard work you are doing for Dagney right now!! Like @InformationMommy said, you are educating so many people that this is even possible :) Love ya! Erin xoxo
The LC used something like the SNS on me in the hospital to help Chelsea stay latched...it worked pretty good. YOu are doing amazing!!! 20oz is awesome!!! at least he is getting breastmilk....that's all that matters!!! I'm kind of opposite of you ...I wish Chelsea would take a bottle!!!
@smleblanc1 Aww thanks, hun! We can switch for a little while if you want too? LOL I kind of wish I was nursing so I could get ALL of the milk out. My pump and hand expressing doesn't get everything out.
I think it's amazing you are trying to relactate and being successful on top of it... go you !!!! And thanks for educating other moms... I seriously don't think many people know this is even possible.
@InformationMommy Thanks, Jen! Nope, a lot of people have no idea actually. I didn't even think it was possible until I have been having lots of success with it. :)
Have you tired giving him half a bottle (until he is happy) and then the rest via the tube? That way he might not be so fustrated with it. You are doing so well!
Thanks for showing the Medela SNS. My SNS is a ghetto syringe with a tube attached. :) But I'll be buying a Medela one for my next hospital bag. It'll be worth it to have it immediately just in case. IMO.
20 ounces is freakin' awesome! rockstar. Powerpumping every hour plus hand expressing must have been super duper fun ;)
Focus on that he's 1/2 breastfed. That's fabulous!
@thebubblelush Aww thanks, Carla!! the Medela SNS is cool, eh?! I've seen the ghetto tubes too and they seem soo much harder to use. I totally agree having one ready for next time would be great, I will be doing the same. :)
20 ounces is awesome! I HATE pumping, OMG! lol but its worth it so its all good. I have been focusing on that and it really feels good. Even if I can't get him fully on breast milk at least he gets some. :)

You don't think if you keep trying to use the SNS that he will eventually catch on or get better with it?

@JenNTim509 Not sure really, but I don't know if I want to struggle with it at every feeding. :/
