""I think this video record of his hike is well done (I watched all three parts -- about 45 minutes total). Good job showing the scenery. But what I really liked is that it captured some of the less glamorous aspects of a multi-week hike. His hiking partner quits on the first day. His sleeping bag gets wet. ...
Wonderful video — I'm glad you made it. "It" being both the video and the trail's end. I was a bit worried when your shoes started failing; I've met hikers that had to bail out of epic hikes because of cheap shoes.

Thanks for taking the time to create this video. Very interesting. Too bad your friend deserted you. Hiking alone is more difficult. (I am doing the JMT this summer.)
@Amarony I used a GoPro HD Hero (with mountable head strap) and the Kodak Zi8 (which I recommend going with the new Kodak Playsport, its almost exactly like the Zi8 except it's waterproof)
Hey man... just wanted to say I really enjoyed this documentary very cool man.. bummer your buddy left on ya I know how it is being alone for long periods of time it can be an adjustment!

Very nicely done, and enjoyable. Nice to see an unvarnished account of a long distance hike, and some of the most beautiful terrain in the world.

Great videos Trevor, really enjoyed them. Wondering what camera you used on your hike as I'd like to do some documenting myself for my upcoming trip.
