  • Allen0955 u are the man with the golden video. great post

  • that was some groovy country music!

  • The incrdible Mr. Jerry Reed. He will be sorely issed for many years in my household. Thanks for sharing.

  • Studio version hit #32 in Billboard, 6-12-82. RIP, Jerry. God bless!

  • What kinda guitar is Jerry using?

  • one of the last great pickers......

  • From Italy: Grandissimo Jerry, R.I.P....la Tua Chitarra è Famosa anche qui. Great Great Great

  • What a talent Jerry was, and he always looked like he was havin' a ball doin' it.

  • Kerry Marx is a great picker.

Buddy and David Blackmon - and the rest of the guys of the Thompson Station Congregation.

I saw them all in Ga. in the 80's with JR in concert. I have all the photos, too, but can't post the link here - against the rules!!

  • Damn that is one great song. Now if they could only put that one on his next Greatest hits album.

  • How ironic. The title is "Man With The Golden Thumb", but this is the first time I ever saw Jerry use a flat pick.

  • @diabinhoUSA I just noticed that myself. How ironic I agree. If I had to venture a guess It looks like he was at the bar and got up and played a guest spot with the band. Looks kind of like The Palomino in North Hollywood that is no longer there. It was a real ruff bar back in the 70s and early 80s. Does any one know where this was recorded at? If you are a big Jerry Reed fan check out Martin Tallstorm. You won't be disappointed. Just type the name in the search box and hit enter.

  • @iamjackalope Yeah, I know of Martin. Technically, he is very sound. I am also a huge Buster B. Jones fan. Too bad he went so soon. But he lived life on his own terms.

  • jerry you were greatest rest in peace friend

  • never another one better r.i.p.jerry

  • I know 2 of the guitar players on stage with Jerry.

  • Kerry Marx and Buddy Blackmon? Thompson Station Congregation Rules!

  • Buddy and David Blackmon.

  • thanks for posting, i been looking for this song

  • RIP Snowman
