I don't know why they changed engine on the sequels - all the sequels sucked when compared to the original!!! Bring Unreal tournament back - this time with out the modern "unreal engine" update the original engine!!

I remember playing that on my dad's pc back when it 1st came out. Classic game and still arguably the best bot ai I've seen. Maybe that's more nostalgia than fact though.

I really do wish they'd make a true sequel to Unreal. One of the things that I loved so much about it was the aura of solitude and discovery about it, you were just one guy lost in this incredible massive world on this quest to find someone else out there. It wasn't so much a Quake-style FPS as it was more like Myst with guns; the Tournament games, much as I enjoyed UT99 when it came out, really altered the whole dynamic of the Unreal universe in a way that I can't enjoy nearly as much.

If they will ever make another unreal game, IT WONT BE THE SAME OR NEARLY THE SAME as ut99 or ut2k4! Console priority will fuck everything up, and UT will be much more casual focused then competitve pro game.
