Jaleco's FAMIly COMputer version of Activision's Murder on the Mississippi.

Why was this and the MSX versions released exclusively in Japan and became more popular there you might ask? Well, Japan loves solving murder cases, even Metal Gear franchise creator Hideo Kojima grew up with Enix's Portopia Renzoku Satsujin Jiken. Other developers like Nintendo (Famicom Tantei Club) and Data East (Tantei Jingūji Saburō / Jake Hunter) also created their own detective adventure games and franchises.

This is pretty nice. I didn't know this game was published on the Famicom. Too bad it didn't get released here in the USA on the NES.

I've played the version on the Commodore 64 as the game was originally available on a variety of computer systems.
