  • OOPS I MEAN DO ORANG-MELAYU EAT DOGS

  • DO FILIPINOS EAT DOGS

  • The first guy who hit, the one on the

right already won the fight, because the

guy on the LEFT did NOT block or get

away. In tournaments they do this a lot.

Just keep getting hit and keep hitting.

But in real fight the first guy already

cut the 2nd guy (on left)'s hand.

  • People here in the you only how to say pointless words like xhellscreamx. You think your good? show ur skills and don't criticize anybody. Kali Martial arts is a deadly martial arts

  • thats hurts...

  • i have to say, as much as i respect martial arts and everyone's right to individuality and combining the two, this looks like two people swinging stiks at each other with no sence of direction?

understand im not trying to belittle the event or its competitors, im just gaging, are they new? or is that just how they do it over there?

  • Kali was the named of the martial art before the period of Spaniards in the Philippines. Kali means bladed weapon, since the Filipinos were under by the Spaniards they hid it. So that it wont vanish, they used it as an arts, folkdance, etc.. as the way of the Filipono life. If you might happen to ask, you can ask me about Kali. As to my knowledge, this Kali is still exist in various tribes of the southern Phil.

  • both competitors are pretty good, actually. 2 factors make it look disorganized: 1) they're wearing helmets and gloves, so they don't need to be as sharp on defense as they would be otherwise -- they're still largely focusing on getting their hits in. 2) in eskrima, things happen really fast -- those sticks are moving a lot faster than hand-to-hand striking speed, so it looks like a blur of random strikes, but there are some subtle issues of timing, blocking, etc, happening

  • where is this competition held please & when?

    thanks

    alex team GB

  • i see big jon in the back, it looks like thats gary who is fighting.

  • eventhough, it seems pointless, it's one of the most respected and one of the most practical martial arts there is.

  • i would say that way too. but every martial arts has its own origin. like if you see judo, jujitsu, aikido, kendo, iaido, etc.. theres so many of them. they might have different style and techniques but you cant deny that this various martial arts were all came from Samurai. Samurai is the most disciplined warriors they had this code BUSHIDO. its pretty NOT cool to live during this time. thanks!

  • what are u doin dancing cha-cha??

  • looks like dancing now? but it's really hitting you in the spot.

  • after the late 1970s this martial art was introduced by filipino and its Bruce Lee's friend to and so on. The martial art was called Kali in early 1300? but when Spaniards ruled over the Philippines. They dont want the Kali to put away of Filipino life. So they decided to used this as an arts, folkdance, literature, but theres more into it. during this time tha named was changed into Eskrima, Mano, etc.. ask me! if you heard the Filipino Hero named Lapu2x?

  • OMG what is this sport suppose to be? Looks kind of like unorthodoxed fencing with kendo equipment.

  • Put a veteran stick fighter and see how quickly it ends. This was just a "Fight night" event.

  • stupidity at its peak

  • ouch

  • are the sticks padded? os there any gear or saftys for your chest and stomach?

  • nope just helmets and gloves

  • I HAVEN'T SEEN A SINGLE TECHNIQUE

  • FIGHT WITH NO DIRECTION!

  • looks painful

  • good fight..
