Great Product...i purchased the tour striker pro 7i...managed to pull down my handicap from 21.5 to 15.3 in just a month..my shots are more consistent and fat shots decreased dramatically...planning to purchase the 5i soon.
@froztBytez This is the kind of thing that makes my day! Thanks for sharing and I'm thrilled that the club has helped you refine your golf swing. Way to go!
10-14-11: not to sound like an infatuated groupie, but I continue to love the product. Last year, I dropped ~ 15 strokes on average.
This yr I was hoping for a great golf-year and signed up for 5 lessons back in May. So far, I've only take 2 of those lessons and was screwed up for 3+ months afterwards (due to my own lack of practice). In the last week, I've had ~ 7 or 8 15-min. practice sessions with my Tour-Striker 5i (back yard net) and am already back to hitting consistent rock solid shots
Don't know my handicap but I shoot around 85 on a hard course my swing speed is just under 100mph with driver. Idk which one to get. I feel that I hit down but my ball flight is low and I hit it fat a lot, but only sacrificing maybe 5 yds. I can tell though because my divot is just behind the ball... Any advice
This is such a scam, its really meant for scratch and pro golfers, not amateurs. You can achieve hitting down on the ball by swing inside out whereas most amateurs swing over the top without knowing it. This club will not help to fix that but, will only make a weekend golfer hit a deeper divot.
@Gyro911 I'm sorry it didn't help you. Hopefully you were able to easily return it for the product cost. If you need help, let me know. Sincere thanks for trying it out. It helps most people as I've had thousands of satisfied customers. I'm sorry it didn't work for you. Take care.
@Gyro911 if you'll just persist a bit longer and continue to practice with your TS iron, your muscles will calibrate themselves toward a better golf swing..... this result is inevitable; but you need to be a bit patient and a bit persistent (PS....I'm not affiliated with this product in any way whatsoever....other than as a customer like you -- I'm usually a pretty critical guy..but when I find something brilliant, I'll say so...and this product is ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT! .....loving golf now!
@Gyro911 Isn't that a completely different fault!!!? Sure, you're right, they do OTT, and OTT is most important to fix. But once you do hitting down, lag and shaft lean are key
I have tried this product, and while I have only experienced a modicum of success with it so far, the theory behind it is sound. Ball compression is definitely the key to solid ball striking. For those looking for a quick-fix, don't blame the product if you don't find instant success. This, like everything else in golf, takes practice. Give the product and the theory behind it a fair shake and an honest effort before commenting about it.
Martin I bought three clubs and the x version I already have lag as I am a scratch player I was hopeful that I was going to generate more lag by using the x as advertised well to be honest my mp68's are tougher to hit for me believe me I really wanted to struggle with this so I can improve... I did not try a strike plate so I will try that tomorrow if not I may need to return as I think the cavity back model in the x is not ideal for low hc trying to get better... Great idea however...
@Netsonar Hi, thanks for trying the product. You are a scratch player? That is awesome. A lot of Tour players use the club in their training regimen. If your mp68's are actuall harder to hit than the TS, you have the wrong shafts in the clubs. There is no way on God's green earth that any iron, unless it is misfit is harder to hit than an elevated leading edge training club. Clearly you are a fine striker. The TS for better players is more about training in consistency than forword lean. Cheers.
The instructional DVD that comes with the TS Pro is outstanding. Martin discusses: grip, swing, turn, tempo, club face & more. I'm a 17 hc got my TSP 7-Iron yesterday took to the range today hit 2 large buckets and after about 5 whacks a was able to make solid contact on about 60% of my shots. With my game I was hesitant to buy the TS Pro vs, Reg TS and was surprised I could hit it. Hope the progress continues .Martin is a great teacher!
@cmartingolf.. You are a very well spoken person, very easy to understand. I put your ability to explain and teach in the same class as Mickelson; who as Im sure you know is a remarkable teacher as well. I got my TS today and used it on the range before my round. I had a bit of success but tomorrow is driving range day with myself and the TS Pro haha
@BadAssDrummer001 That took 35 takes:) Just kidding. Thanks for the compliment and good luck with the TS. Hopefully you feel some good things and it translates quickly to your regular irons.
Bought my LH 5-iron TS a month ago and I absolutely LOVE what it's done for my swing. Hitting some of the sweetest shots I've hit in my 23 years golfing. ....now just working on getting more and more consistent. Tempo and lag are becoming automatic. This is the most Brilliant Golf Aid ever developed.
@JTKarp Thanks so much for the kind words. I'm humbled. I'm thrilled it is helping people. Good luck with your game. Now, I have to make a Tour Striker Putter, so we can all hole a bunch of putts:)
Update - With the TS Pro and over the last 2 months of practising, I've taken between 15 and 20 strokes off my game. I'm CONSISTENTLY making the kind of solid contact that only occured rarely before. I just shot an 88 (pretty tough course from the blues)....first time breaking 90 and had I putted better, could very well have broken 80. My stats were 80% fairways and 42% greens in regulation. Golf is so much more enjoyable now that I'm striking the ball properly !!!!! Brilliant Idea.
@cmartingolf: After not golfing for 5 months during the Mich winter, & having gone only once to an indoor range back in January, I played my first round of golf last week..... expecting a rusty first round, but instead had one of my best ball-striking rounds ever. EVERY drive was solid and "out there"; all but one were in the fairway...........the biggest chunk of credit goes to the TS Pro five-iron I bought last summer.....yes, I put in the practice time but, the TS made it pay off. Love it!
Just ordered the 5 iron pro about 30 minutes ago. I'd just finished a round at my local club and I caught the infomercial in the clubhouse and I was completely mesmerized. I had to have it! Unfortunately now I must play the waiting game with the postman. :(

I bought mine two weeks ago, been to the range about four times and played a par 3 course several times and the club has helped me. Today was my first big test played 18 holes and was very frustrated after the round. My iron play and short game was on but it driving off the tee that is ruining my game. I either hook it left about 100 yards off the tee or slice it right. I try and apply the tempo and rhythm while driving of the tee. Any suggestions?? Thanks, Glenn
@zeeman801 This smacks of bad path...way too inside out.. Here's what I want you to do. Get a big bath towel and roll it up into a 6-8" round "tube." Put the towel parallel to your target line and between your feet and the ball, but darn near touching the heel of your driver. Tee the ball on the target end of the towel. Hit the ball and miss the towel. If you are too inside out, you'll hit the towel. You can google Brian Manzella towel planeboard. Cheers, MC
I see two retailers online claiming to have them. I do have a question for you though, the I have a driver speed between 105-110 and am taking lessons, working on honing a proper form...I gave up softball for golf to avoid injuries so I'm a bit of a "clean slate." So, my handicap is ~20 now but I'm getting better everyday. Which TS do you recommend? Pro or standard?
Great product. Got mine, have tried it....there's just one thing that is not so apparent until you get this thing....unlike many gadgets out there, you don't look like a complete idiot on the driving range with some crazy looking gadget. It's just another club! I love it!
Now, if you can come up with something to help with the driver....;-)
Long answer, the TS and TSP have 36 and 35 degrees, so hitting forward shaft short shots result in a long chip and run.
The ball comes off with a lot of heat.
I'm developing a wedge version of the TS for just this reason. As a teacher I have never had a problem teaching impact alignments on short swings, it's the backswing/downswing transition where all hell breaks loose.
I thought about it, certainly for short shots, but as a teacher I have never had an issue coaching an effective short chip stroke. The challenge for most ineffective strikers isn't with the short strokes, it is blending the wrist cock/roll timing and the illusion of impact during bigger swings.
@cmartingolf where can I find more drills to practice the pivot? Just got my TS Pro 7 iron and have practiced twice - amazing sound - really compresses the ball - I'm a low handicapper and yet, still get too "handsy" - want to use the pivot and "relaxed" arms to swing/sling the club better with less muscular effort - thanks for your great invention Martin - I'll promote this to all my friends as it will help anyone at any skill level to compress the ball better

I have another question: how far ahead of the ball should your divot be to hit a quality iron shot?
HKgolfer132 10 months ago
@HKgolfer132 Sorry I missed this! The divots of really sound strikers will start immediately after the ball.

Dale, it depends on the turf. Although there is not "leading edge" like a traditional iron, it will still displace turf due to the downward strike.
Cheers and Happy Holidays
