@Zombie1Boy True. I mean humans aren't flawless, but at the same time, they can try and better themselves, and they don't receive the discipline of the consequences because they just think 'okkayyy I just confessedd so everything's better noww.' and they keep doing the crap that they do.
@phunkymunkyrulz Yeah. As flawed as we are, we first have to recognize our own downfalls before we are able to improve on anything else. Unfortunately people are taught from a young age (child media is the problem on a whole) that reinforces the fact that we are all supposed to grow up into doctors, lawyers and every other good high paying job. Even our parents get in on this telling us we're beautiful (even if we're not), smart, and/or talented in whatever we do.
@Zombie1Boy Yes, and it's just TOO much self-esteem. A lot of people suffer from low self-esteem, and putting your faith in something does give you that sense of self-love. But a lot of times people just have too much of that. They get cocky, and drown themselves in the belief that nothing they do will ever be wrong.
Speaking from a non-religious stand point: this kind of behavior is reinforced everyday by society. You have the media telling people to be one thing, while we are (generally) raised up on values derived from Christianity. The media tells you to hate yourself if you don't conform, and you'll end up hating yourself anyways because you lie to yourself and others and know it.
Lol , this is why i'm an Atheist.

This is fucking retarded, this is for people who are weak. And can't fend for themselves.

My whole problem with the "confess your sins and be forgiven" is it fits into what people are looking for so they can continue to sin and blaspheme.
To put curtly, you don't sin and confess and everything is all better.
I suppose you would have to repent somewhat, and how each and everyone goes about it is how we each of us keeps our own faith in God.
